Re: 2024 tickets

I've bought tickets on the gate for the past two years' departures days and a few before that and it has always been relatively painless. I have a photo from last year that I took at 8am from P&V West which shows a very bare crowdline further into the 'stepladder enclosure' section. Personally I wou...

Re: Departure day

I remember last year asking one of the staff if they'd sold out of tickets after the gates had been open a few hours and they said they hadn't. This was up at West which is typically quieter and has a ticket stash separate to the one at east (I think - not 100% on that). I was in the queue at 6am th...

Re: Notam 01/10/21

Hopefully not an entirely stupid question... When two U-2Ss launch using c/s "Black 01 & 02" like today and Wednesday, is it always the case that it is the two with the "Span Pods"? Thanks for all the progress info. guys, I sometimes get to see them over Bridgnorth after the Shawbury turn. Alan. A ...

Soaking in Somerset, Historic Helicopters Open Day - 5/8/21

As the title suggests, it was a wet one. In spite of this, the organisers put on an excellent display for those who waited for the horrible weather to pass, and I for one am glad I stayed! Here's a view I don't think anyone would have ever anticipated seeing... a Whirlwind, Wessex, Sea King, Scout a...

Re: Notam 20/07/21

Just listened back to check and Brize Director was warning him of Gliders 'between his current position' and Fairford at around 16:14 and offered to direct him to the South West of the field avoiding the majority of the gliders, so that'd be the reason for the strange track inbound! Not sure on the ...

Re: Notam 20/07/21

Thanks , so I am assuming he went past the end of 09 and round the long way. Hard to tell from here [ LPL ] my binos cant see that far :O) That's the one yeah, did a left hand approach into Fairford for a change. There were loads of gliders around earlier, perhaps avoiding them at a guess Landed at...

Why 1 hour 30 mins Mildenhall - St Mawgan/Newquay ? I guess another airport involved and possibly the west country will get a C.32 or 2 instead.
There's a C-32 on the deck at Brize at the moment, or did you mean another C-32 going elsewhere?
