Re: Prestwick TA-4J 17/04/2024

What a gem and in good light too. Nicely caught. Reading your Flickr caption I see it is your first Skyhawk and to get a 2-seater must have been a real treat. Enjoyed having the single-seaters at Lakenheath for a while - would loved to have seen this one too. One day maybe...

Thanks for posting.

Age alone doesn't define the capability of an aircraft so don't know what your point really is.

Great set James. They just get better as the sky darkens. But then I love a night photo.

Didn't V-1s count in WWII, and if they did have the "rules" changed?

From arrivals all were green tip except 0178 and 0495 which were unmarked. Some were a bit faint and all from starboard side.

My first sighting was Mildenhall show 1983 with 79-1713 on static - white/blue of course before the horrible dark scheme appeared.

To the left of the tower this afternoon was either 169225 or 169226 tail on and rudderless. Can anyone say which it was please? Also the dark green one to the left of that - don't think ex RAF? Thanks in advance for any help.

Always content over quality in these cases. Great reminders. Might have been a 110 film?
