Re: 2024 Typhoon Display Jet

Maybe because the markings are FMG with the roundel between the M and G so looks like MOG - might be totally wrong?

Re: Catering

James - I'm guessing more modern rat-packs with pouched meals (or at least they were when I left the ATC nearly 25 years ago). Back in the 1970s/80s they were boxes of tins and packets of "biscuits" and all designed to be eaten cold if neccesary. Any stall that bad should be shut down! Someone of my...

Re: Royal International Air Tattoo 2024 General Discussion Thread

For those who take numbers amongst us and may have seen them in their previous markings. Anyone who does not collect serials and/or registrations may not appreciate the significance.

Great pics and some lovely rotor blur - what shutter speed were you using, please? Thanks for sharing!
Click on each image and the exif data will tell you all the details.

Nice set by the way.

I think Honington's infrastructure has largely gone but the runway is still useable. The Atlas has been operating from there since Tuesday.

Re: Headsup posts are becoming to cryptic

To be fair, internet searches shouldn't be required unless for further research if interested. I guess many of us are guilty of missing bits here and there and forget to check whether all info is already in the thread. If in doubt , just ask and some helpful person will help out.

Re: Headsup posts are becoming to cryptic

I have already tried to answer your issue in the specific thread (Lakenheath C-17A serial number 07-7174 callsign RCH317 or Reach 317).

As to other queries I have no idea - maybe best to ask as you go along - or PM (private message) the poster(s).

Hope that helps a little

What a gem and in good light too. Nicely caught. Reading your Flickr caption I see it is your first Skyhawk and to get a 2-seater must have been a real treat. Enjoyed having the single-seaters at Lakenheath for a while - would loved to have seen this one too. One day maybe...
