Re: COVID-19 UK

I take it you haven't been watching all the episodes. Although I haven't watched tonight's yet, I am assuming it is his step-daughter who lives in the same house. All the other presenters are at or very close to their own homes.

He also has a statement on his website saying that he will comply with the strict rules in place, including social distancing ! There is also a letter from his "employers" Reach plc confirming his status as a key-worker. Their website in turn has a complaints procedure... That puts him in the same br...

Re: COVID-19 UK

I don't know where to start with that Mike! This should be reported and acted on. I only know of BJ guy via what I've read on this forum but this is criminal - or should be if not actually. The son probably knows no better depending on his condition, but the mother is as guilty as Dyer Dyer letting ...

Re: garden birds

Lovely little things nicely caught. I wonder how many lockdown photographers have turned to birds and other wildlife to point their camera at?

Another note for the goldfinch, one if my favourite birds.

Crimson Ocean is the exercise name you were looking for. Crimson Flag is also due to take part at Marham later this year.

Re: COVID-19 UK

Unfortunately the government "trusted" the population to comply with their requests/suggestions/advice - call it what you will. The fact is that the so-called "lockdown" was not strictly that. If you look at the travel restrictions imposed by other countries (e.g. France) we were far less severe. Th...

I am fairly sure that Duxford is not B-52 capable. That was before the M11 was built. Prepared to be proven wrong though. Edit - Mike best me to it. Re the hangar gap, yes it was due to the Battle if Britain film destroying it during filming. "Don't yell at me Mister Warwick!" Suzannah York in unifo...

The article is for a US, specifically USAF, audience. It is their style of reporting and maybe not ours. If it was aimed at the British public then fine, pick it to pieces. It isn't!

Re: Jurassic Coast beach crowds 'showed shocking disregard for area'

Awful sight Mike. As you say like many other places throughout these isles. My wife and I honeymooned in Scotland in 1994 and started our Loch Ness viewing at Dores. It was clean then and a beautiful spot, like most of Scotland. It is bad enough anywhere but you kind of get used to it in urban areas...

Re: Jurassic Coast beach crowds 'showed shocking disregard for area'

Absolutely disgusting behaviour. These scum - and I make no apologies for using that word - cannot have any respect for anything or anyone.

All credit to the volunteers but they shouldn't have to do it, and to be treated like that is appalling.

Re: Car park

It isn't just the risk of catching it, but also the risk of spreading it. Half the distance then ten times the risk apparently.

My daughter drove past Lakenheath last week and saw many people far closer than 2 metres.
