Re: UK to revert back to F-35B?
Our Harriers were fantastic and i'm still missing them hugely! - honestly, as much as anyone still does, even though I feel it was absolutely the right decision of the still relatively new, massively deficit burdened, wiser (imo) government to retain our mightier punching Tornados instead. How many ...

Spoke to the crew on the C130J. They can't fly over mainland Spain due to 'politics'. Takes nearly 5 hours to transit back to the UK!! Dave. Wonder if they'd mend their stupid attitude if all the millions of Spanish economy helping Brits that went there each year for holidays threatened to stop goi...

Don't be daft. I'm only surprised that after you "actually attended a Lockheed Martain presentation on the F35" they didn't then offer you a job with them on the spot!Viper28 wrote:Oh dear back to personal attacks again are we?

Re: F-35B flies with gun pod installed & First RAF F35C flig
At the end of the day, its a "strike fighter" and using a cannon to strafe a target brings you into eyeball sight anyway so Stealth is out the window no matter what. It's temporarily "out the window" - for the duration of a strafing attack. Stealth can still give that hugely important element of su...

Re: UK air strikes in Somalia??
I was at a talk on global marine conservation issues last year and it was interesting to hear the speaker draw a link between the surge in piracy and the plundering of fish stocks by European and Asian trawling fleets along the Horn of Africa. This has decimating fish stocks and the livelihoods of ...

Yes, by the great Mrs T. Funny how ship yards and all those coal mines and everything didn't get reopened in the thirteen long years of the last all mouth and nearly bankrupting LIEbour shambles. Also, Daewoo get ships out of their yard ten to the dozen being the biggest ship builder in the world an...
