GREAT pictures! I was the US Marine exchange nav at 228 OCU at that time and had the great pleasure and honor to be part of the flight display that 228 OCU provided. Wonderful times!

Sorry Mate but those VH-3s are United States Marine Corps, not USAF.

Lovely to see the old girls. They earned my respect while I was on exchange to 228 OCU (1975-1978)...chased a few through the hills and lochs at the Tac Fighter Meet in 1977 and then again at Red Flag in 1980 I believe. Thought you might want to see a shot of that Phantom when it was still on active service in Hawaii. Shot was taken over a part of Diamond Head that most don't get to see.
