Re: Duxford Battle Of Britian Airshow 2020 (Wishlist)
In light of Goodwood being cancelled (with just 4000 spectators) and also test audience events at the cricket this month can anyone honestly see the Duxford show going ahead?
I just cannot see it personally.

Re: NOTAM 30/07/2020
I was just about to add that the NOTAM is for much earlier, unless of course it has gone stateside ? I assume those familiar with these matters heard it go East.

Re: Duxford Battle of Britain 2020 - 18th - 20th September (3 DAY SHOW)
Surely the Duxford Airshow where in effect you have "mass stadia" attendance would not be allowed until October? I can't see how you can bend the rules from August? Even the museum is well behind in opening and does6nt yet even have a date. Cosford, Dehaviland, Hendon, all opened this week. If they ...

Crowd gatherings to be lifted from October 1st. Can we squeeze in an airshow?

Re: Duxford Battle of Britain 2020 - 18th - 20th September (3 DAY SHOW)
It's very odd, just announced that the Ryder Cup has just been scrubbed because they can't accommodate spectators ?
I'm baffled.

Has anyone had confirmation this is definitely on ?
We are only 9 weeks away and there are no scheduled mass crowd activities allowed anywhere in the intervening period ?

Re: RIAT 2020 Cancelled
As we move to what would have been RIAT weekend we seemingly are still no nearer any guidelines on mass audience attendances. The UK had an impressive track record of producing a number of excellent airshows right around the country, is nobody concerned that the infrastructure at many of these event...

Re: Bank Hol Mon 25/05/20 pillock in PC-12
This to me says more about the wafer thin manpower and security at our major military installations at weekends and of course bank holidays. Was he under the influence of drugs. I cannot see any other explanation. He has clearly over achieved at some point in order to gain a pilot's licence. Apparen...

Re: RIAT 2020 Cancelled
Whilst the organisers have taken the decision to roll over this years admission fees I think with hindsight this may prove a retrograde step. Every business is facing an unprecedented cash crisis. Costs are still there and revenue has dried up, with a huge number of staff still having to be paid , t...

When you hear a reluctance by Cambridge University to have anybody on campus indefinitely with aĺl lessons conducted by video link to May 2021 you do fear for airshows fullstop.

Re: RIAT 2020 Cancelled
My only reason for cancelling is scepticism re 2021. Yes you have to hope but using football as a litmus test the smart money from numerous pundits is saying it will be 12 months before fans get back into grounds or into any large event for that matter. Even with testing I cannot see any kind of roa...
