Re: Night flying

Maybe they were making the most of the weather as there were a few Hawks and Texans up since 9am today.

Re: Should elderly drivers be forced to re-sit their driving test?

Yes indeed Thunder. One other thing I noticed on the theory is I saw potentially 3 hazards in a couple of clips. But there is only one hazard on each clip! So if you click on the wrong 1 you fail! It's ridiculous!

Re: January 2020 Log/Movements

I've been listening to my Yupi & Bearcat for the last 25 years .The Brecon Beacons block a lot of aircraft at low altitude, as I'm down in a small blocked valley and I work in the week.

Re: January 2020 Log/Movements

Any idea why they are using the A/B in their callsigns? Thanks So 2 (or more) jets can use the same callsign for ATC comms if being handled by them as a "package". Used widely by European airforces eg Germans. When they split for recovery etc the A/B bit is then also used. Not sure if RAF use it so...

Re: Should elderly drivers be forced to re-sit their driving test?

I just had a go at the modern hazard perception bit on the theory cd. I saw the hazard which was a wobbly cyclist in the left lane, I clicked on it when I saw it then I got told I failed because I clicked to soon!! But it's when I saw it!!! Are they telling me eyesight is too good as it was 10 secon...

Yes Rafair used to use A/B/C etc when on hi-lo-hi sorties from Germany to the UK.

Re: January 2020 Log/Movements

Yes I realise that now . Totally forgot they had gone to Finland. I thought they were using A/B on local test sorties that's why I thought it was unusual until I realised by scrolling further up!! Whoops 😂
