Bit extreme but I take your point :P I usually just responds with "thank you", or "I hope so".
Exactly, now that's polite!! 😂 Instead of the arrogant "I will" 😂

Re: Mr Grumpy whinge

What annoys me is when someone answers " I will", when you say have a nice meal out or have a nice holiday etc. I mean how do they know!!?? They could get food poisoning or their plane could crash! 😮🙄😊

Re: COVID-19 UK

As far as the young are concerned it is alright. I asked a youngster of senior school age, why he wasn't wearing a mask? I quote "it only affects the elderly and most of those are a burden on the rest of us" with their pensions and free travel, which we have to pay for. So what does it matter if we...

Crown hotel

Nice big garden so no issues in the summer.

The snug bar has tables spread out nicely

4pm I am the only one here now ( ok I smell I admit it :) )
( Just called in for a swift one while walking to the shop for some groceries)
Ah yes visited there a few times, many many years ago!

Re: COVID-19 UK

Further up this thread :- I'm not saying we should just give up all restrictions, I'm saying we need to be treated like adults and presented with the full suite of facts rather than having to scrabble around to find them, which the vast majority won't do, then idiots like me can then stop protestin...

Re: COVID-19 UK

What I dont understand is how are people from lockdown towns in England able to holiday in Wales and elsewhere? How the hell is that lockdown? My area is under lockdown and we cannot leave the area . Confusing.

Re: Eastnor Park / Kington / Pontrilas air exercises 29th September-2nd October

Messaged or phoned the Notamed numbers mostly during my flying days to check if exercises still went ahead if we were planning to fly in the area, sometimes I'd ask what types were involved and they were helpful, this was in the days of Jaguar & Harrier, if they don't want to reply to you, fair enou...

Re: Eastnor Park / Kington / Pontrilas air exercises 29th September-2nd October

Sometimes it's worth messaging the mobile numbers given out on the Notams. I have done that in the past, and they have been very friendly with the answers. Bit cheeky, but worth it .

Re: Eastnor Park / Kington / Pontrilas air exercises 29th September-2nd October

Yes used to visit Hay on Wye for the FAC exercises when they were known as "Exercise Fast Moved", loads of types then, now it can be anything as small as a Da42, especially at the FAC exercises at Pembrey which takes place from tomorrow.

That's dreadful so sorry to hear that. Sounds like vaccine trials are underway - early days but maybe some light at the end of the tunnel Novavax is another candidate. https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/amp/health-54296224 Keep an eye on the FTSE 100 as there is some value to be had -;BP is down to £2.34 I...

Re: COVID-19 UK
