Re: British Phantom Aviation Group (Official Topic)

I think ZE361 was one of three repainted; could the date of that be a clue to the burnt off paint question? About half the fleet were repainted in 1989 so unfortunately this doesn`t tie up with that. To be honest, it`s doubtful the paint was actually burnt off, it just may have been discoloured and...

Thunder Strike

My first `What if` in god knows how long. A nice and welcome change from building fund raising Phantom builds. Premise is quite simple, with the failure of the TSR.2 procurement, the RAF required a stop gap low level interdictor strike and found it in the shape of the American F-105G. Only 20 aircra...

Tornado Down

Latest build from me depicting the loss of Panavia Tornado GR.1 ZD791 on the very first day of the Gulf War, January 17th 1991. Crewed by John Peters and John Nichol, their Tornado was hit by both a surface to air missile as well as taking hits from 23mm flak. Both survived the ejection and were tak...

99.9% certain this hasn`t actually been burnt, just used a lot of smoke bombs for effective training.

Flight of the Intruder

1/48 scale Revell Intruder kit has been sitting in the stash forever, so thought it was time to do something about it. While the A-6 could be fitted with the Sidewinder missile for self defence, I`ve no idea it it ever flew in this configuration but it made the build a little more interesting. VA-85...

Re: British Phantom Aviation Group (Official Topic)

While many on the BPAG team are dealing with upcoming technical, logistical and marketing issues of the Phantom F-4J(UK) ZE360 project, I`ve been spending a lot of my time researching the aircraft`s history and accumulating as much information as possible including the 14 years she spent with the Un...

Rocket Tiger!

Next build off the production line has me reverting back to a 74 `Tiger` Squadron in flight diorama in the shape of a Spitfire Mk IX firing a pair of rockets during a ground support mission. Now for the history bit. Another unique claim to fame for 74 is that during it`s time with the 2nd Tactical A...

No not one of TC's masterpieces  ,
Your kidding ain`t you, your finishing is far superior to mine, my `action` poses deflects the viewers eye from my cock up`s.

May not always comment on other person`s models, but always check in and some of the talent on here is amazing. :thumb:

Phinal Phlight 1/32 Phantom

Took advantage of of the Hobbycraft sale last year and bought the Revell 1/32 scale Phantom F-4G only to discover you can also make an F-4E. (If I`d known that, I would of bought more...). Anyways, always looking to do something away from the norm, I choose an inflight diorama involving a QF-4E. It`...

I've not managed to find any more details yet, Its being Launched from Kennedy Space Center in Florida, so would expect it to come from the west/ south west as that seems to be the routing of all of these starlinks, providing it comes this far north. Keep a look on https://www.facebook.com/VirtualA...

Planned to be another 60 launched tomorrow. We may see the rocket overhead 20 minutes after launch. We may see 60 satellites very close together or even see them being launched from said rocket. No idea on times, will post if I find out. Mike Cheers for the info and update Mike. Any idea of where t...

Hi all, With the global situation as it is at present, it won`t be a major shock to you all to learn that all restoration work has been suspended until further notice with no access to ZE360 until the pandemic is over. The timing couldn`t have been worse as we were starting to make real progress tow...
