Re: Ticket refund
Well once again the Moaners have had their field day be saying how bad the show was going to be, didplays over the wilderness, displays at heights airliners cross the atlantic, overpriced excuse for an airshow blah blah blah, yet once again a sellout, twitter has seen nothing but praise for a great ...

Re: Changes to the UK Heads Up, Movements & OTT section acce
Hi bob, I guess the rush to get the info out there to other members could be the reason people post before checking all the other threads, minutes could make all the difference to someone who at 12.00 could look up and see the movement in question yet by 12.05 after all threads are checked the aircr...

Re: Changes to the UK Heads Up, Movements & OTT section acce
But isnt that what a forum is all about, people asking questions or reporting something to other likeminded people about a subject all are interested in, if you introduce to many rules as to how why what when then People will just upsticks and go somewhere else. This is what happened to a majority o...

Hi Bob,
I took it that what mike was saying was that newbies could ask questions in various other parts of FC to get their post count upto the minimum of 5 even if they wernt interested in the answer that a member had taken time to Reply to.

It's your loss, mate - not ours ! We as a group, whether that be spotters or enthusiasts are now an ageing breed, i did hope when Fr24 et all became accessible to the youth we may of found more of the youngsters coming on board ! The 5 post rule could in effect turn this new blood off of joining us....

Re: Ticket refund
The display area is no longer in front of the crowd nor is it crowd centre. The display area is now over open land to he left of Farnborough Having watched the F18 display today there was no conceivable difference between the display at the last show and todays one!! Where ever are you getting you ...

Re: Reds not doing full display at Farnborough - Flypasts on
Exactly, I think its more likely that this particular event will move as it is now possible to absorb the loss by having other events at the site. Let's face it up until quite recently the airshow was the only thing there & now they have other regular shows. Admittedly it would be a big loss but no...

Re: Reds not doing full display at Farnborough - Flypasts on
Moving the show to another site is all very well, but I think Farnborough themselves will be a little sad, having just spent millions of pounds on a state of the art exhibition set up. The exhibition site wasnt built solely for the airshow, there will be other shows/exhibitions coming soon to the a...

Wow! Used to live near there (end to one of the soon to be dissused runaways) in the early 80's. Think the USN hangar had long gone and business park built. There was a picture on the above site the other day of the Navy hangar being demolished, cant remember when it was but the guys on there will ...
