Re: What telescope?
I haven’t had chance to have a proper look around yet, I might wait until RIAT and see if I can get one there.

Re: Turkey to buy Ex RAF C 130-C4
France, Germany and Turkey all bought A400s and also operate the C130 because it can do things the A400 can’t! Money saving exercise only!NorvilleRogers wrote: ↑Sun Dec 01, 2024 8:37 pmThey bought A400 instead.binbrook87 wrote: ↑Sun Dec 01, 2024 8:20 pmSo if there was plenty of life in the airframes why the hell did the RAF (Mod) let them go?

Re: UK to scrap some warships, helicopters and drones
Perhaps its about time folks should remember, that it was Labour that was in power when all 3 Tranche contracts for the RAF Typhoons were signed. Not that it helps right now. Chinook and Puma were already a given, and 6 Chinook have already gone anyway. A bunch of the Pumas are already at Shawbury ...

Re: MoD Purchase 'Bird in Hand'
Wasn't Trump going to keep MH open and relocate everything at Ramstein elsewhere (before Biden stopped that pretty quickly). I think Trump wanted to pull the majority of resources out of Europe, Mildenhalls assets were going to be relocated to Spangdahlem and Ramstein, maybe other bases too, and Mi...

With Trump almost certain to get back in the White House, will he want to close Mildenhall again! The BiH may become part of the planned housing estate!

Re: Arizona in the '90s
I was at Pima in May 23 and there were, what appeared to be, 3 C12's in the storage area behind the Canberras in this pic. So far I've been unable to ID these aircraft, can anyone help please? Hi, Former US Army 50148 was under the shelter in March. Andrew Thanks for this, that one was there when I...

Just an observation, there were a number of charter and Reach flights bringing in equipment and support staff and, from what I can tell, only one flight returning them!

Any body know which USMC C130s are outside this evening? There were 2 but the sun was directly behind them so I couldn’t read them off. Thanks in advance.

Re: E7 Wedgetail order reduction
Have them built and fly them on rotation to keep the hours down on the whole fleet and reliable availability, that's the whole reason for having a larger fleet than actually required! If we need 3, then having a fleet of 5 would ensure there are always 3 available for operations, a fleet of 3 may en...
