Re: Getafe 9-2-25

54+41 was parked on the ramp close to the entrance by the railway station on the 8th. There was also a grey A330 parked on its own not far from this, nose-on with white markings on the tail but the haze beat us for this one. The last digit of the Spanish A330 was only partially visible and looked li...

It doesn't look like it. I think I'll write them off.

Thanks for the research Steve.

Best regards,

Re: London Heli-Route H4 20th May 2011

Thanks very much for your response Steve I just found a log of Dublin movements for 18th May and the 4 CH47s arrived at 14.51 on that day, so not them. It could just have been Odiham aircraft on ther way home. Alternatively, there were 4 CH46s at Mildenhall at the same time.  It might have been them...

London Heli-Route H4 20th May 2011

Good evening All, I am working my way through some old gaps in the logbook and found an entry for 4 Chinooks heading westbound along the Thames on Friday, 20th May 2011. The first pair was overhead London at 15.15, followed by the second pair at 15:45. There was a Presidential visit to the UK and Ir...

Two left on low loaders at 11:00. The third was still in the hangar.

Re: Minsk-Belarus Independence Day Parade 3/7/18

Thank you very much, Jaws. That is excellent.
It was only a flypast, there was no show but still a bit of a bonus on a non-spotting trip.

Minsk-Belarus Independence Day Parade 3/7/18

Good afternoon Everyone, I visited Minsk back in July 2018. There was limited opportunity for aviation but I did get to watch the Independence Day parade and flypast on 3rd July. Cameras were not allowed in the parade area so no photos were taken to help me confirm codes and serials. However, there ...

Tucson 25/3/96

Evening All, After visiting the Davis-Monthan show over the weekend of 23/24 March 1996, I made a quick stop at Tucson on 25th for my flight back to LAX. Noted were 12 93rd FS F-16s, all coded FM: 81-0796, 81-0802, 81-0804, 81-0806, 81-0810, 82-0906, 82-0908, 82-0922, 82-0933, 82-0938, 82-0993 and o...

Re: B-2A fly-by at El Toro April 1997

Thank you to everyone.

I was at Tustin at the time which is why I don't have photos.

There is a YouTube clip of the B-2 flypast on that day but it is too difficult (for me anyway) to read the "Spirit" name on the undercarriage doors.

Regards,

Kevin

B-2A fly-by at El Toro April 1997

Good afternoon All, I am working my way through a US trip log from April 1997 and have found a gap for a B-2 that performed a flyby at El Toro on Saturday, 26th April 1997. The report on the Scramble site for that date has the same gap as me. Could anyone confirm the serial for this one please? Many...

Re: Hercs at CBG September 2019

Thank you, John.

We didn't note a Qatari outside. The only other C130 identified was Bahrain 701.
There was a dark-coloured C130 parked nose-on between the hangars that we couldn't identify.

Re: Hercs at CBG September 2019

Good afternoon,

Could anyone help with the ID of the Danish Air Force C-130, which was parked outside close to the two stored Swedes at 16.30 on Monday, 9th September please?

Many thanks

Canon 100-400mm IS L USM lens

Good afternoon All, Over the years, I have used Nikon for aircraft photography but now have a Canon EOS 750D 'entry' level as I am a relative novice apart from 'for the record' photos. I would like to try the Canon 100-400mm IS L USM lens for aviation but have read that the image stabiliser on the l...
