My wife laura mentioned about a year ago it was quiet .Unusual as we stay between what were the busiest two hotels in our town and post covid it has been deathly quiet.Having growing up in the house next to the railway I filtered noise out. She mentioned the other night it was deadly quiet and she w...

Should I or shouldnt I post.
Quite a few years ago now I got taken to task by on of the British Legion organisers in our town because I was spotted watching the parade not participating.I said my military career was the cadets and the march was for the guys who actually served.I was told with no room to argue that when I signed...

Perfect Timing.
Been a bit quiet so thought this might amuse and maybe attract other experiences. On a wet and pretty miserable Sunday in the mid 80s I took my son to the Open day at Dyce. Most of the Helicopters doing Oil related jobs were American as were most of the regular airport traffic.A person from over the p...

It passed fairly low and close to our house en route to Leuchars .Didnt seem too noisy.Of course that was only one pass they did about 8 or 9 at Leuchars with the return leg that could have got a bit wearing.

Re: Boy, 11, found driving BMW towing caravan on M1
I think the 4th word is the key iain as with his driving due to overweight vehicle etc there was no thought, he was all over the place and causing problems by other vehicles avoiding him. That would make boarding said lifeboat difficult..The only thing I know that comes near it was when I had a doubl...

Gary I am sure one of the papers up here reckoned it was £164 for the real strip and as you say £84 for the stadium strip.I still cant get my head round it.Dont know if it still applies but at one of the rugby internationals a few years ago there was a bit about strips in the programme.Apparently th...

🇺🇦 🌻 🇺🇦 The advantage of having it recorded on TV is that the mushy bits can be fast forwarded. ? Did he charge for using his own aircraft for the final scene? Probably did C24 but I couldnt care I liked the close ups of the plane ,the colours and the fact that liking a puzzle which ones James Cord...

Re: Top Gun Maverick
Why is Rooster “Gooses” son so young in it? He’d be in his early 40s 😳🤣 Maybe he had been using all these anti ageing products Blackcat ,if he was they are good!,apparentlly they are worth it. I thought his hair was a bit funny .Wig? .Then again maybe he just looked younger than he was in the origi...

These shots should make a Government embarrassed as yet again an unprepared bunch led us into a war. These were what got us out of it.Like the night ones I
can never get it right. Also the P1127 got memories there.

Re: Phantom in the Phog (& others)
The fog shots reminded me of a shot I couldnt get. While at Leuchars we were fishing on the river Eden for Sea Trout on a miserable light foggy evening .All of a sudden there was a lot of noise and shortly after 2 Phantoms hammered down the runway not too far away from us.I have never forgotten looki...

Just watching it now.they have just entered the valley flying under the missiles sites.I would have thought Radar wouldnt be needed to detect them.4 Hornets giving it welly a couple hundred feet away might just be heard by the most relaxed sentry.

Re: Top Gun Maverick
My two cents having now seen it. SPOLIER ALERT Yes a fair amount of CGI, but tbf I think the fifth generation fighter involved were a little busy at the time of filming, and relations with Iran are also a little sticky to enable the borrowing of a Tomcat or two. I feel Rooster was made waaay too mu...
