Typhoon over Leuchars

At approx. 18;20 saw what looked like 2 Typhoons lift off from Leuchars direction when viewed from Carnoustie golf course,They were followed shortly after by a single one.Obviously too far away for serials.Just wondered if anyone knew what they were.
Thanks for any info

Vulcans at Waddington

Long shot but after reading the Vulcans at Scampton thread,I wondered if anyone had a note of the Vulcans at Waddington between 1/2/75 and 15/3/75.I was working on and around the base but somewhere along the way the notes went missing(probably in the toolbox I handed back)

Thanks

Joint Warrior exercise . 5/7/2000

Re: exercise chameleon

Thanks Chris sun was playing havoc and by the time we got a good look it was too far away.Didnt look as if it was heading for Dundee but they do sometimes do quite tight turns near the bridges.

Thanks again

Re: exercise chameleon

about 13:30 this afternoon while walking over the Barry/Buddon ranges we were overflown by what looked like a Sentinel which was headed roughly in the Leuchars direction at low altitude We were looking right into the sun so couldn't get a good look. There was the possibility it was a civil for Dundee...

fine in a city....what happens elsewhere though?
Simple you tow a huge battery behind you on a trailer and recharge it at a local Post Office (if you can find one)might need to queue though.

Re: Move On!!!

I was at the Rangers Celtic match when 66 people died and we didn't know about it until we stopped for beer at Stirling .We had 3 buses that day and got routed all through Glasgow to get out due to emergency services priorities. We thought it was just bother as usual.Between 1415 and 1430 a few of us...
