Re: Martin Baker's Meteor arrival 12/04/21

There's an air-to-air shot (on Facebook) of it returning to Lossie from Cape Wrath yesterday, together with Martin Baker's other Meteor, WL419. Taken by 'Scotavia Images'. Does anyone have any info on the 2nd one? Is it at Lossie too? And does anyone know how long it/they are around for? Scant detai...

Does anyone know when/what time the Hornets are returning home? Tomorrow perhaps?

Re: Scotnight 2018

Hi,

Is there any pattern to the night flying activity? Specifically, is there a rough time they are going out? (trying to organize a trip).

Many of the photos i've seen so far look like twilight/dusk, which i would imagine any time from 1600L onwards.

Thanks.

Re: Log Lossiemouth - Tuesday - 5/12/17

Hi, can i ask...are the Hornets up at similar sort of times each day? I'm thinking of paying a visit tomorrow to see them before they go, and wondering, is late morning, or early afternoon best?

Thanks in advance.

Re: The Peterhead Lightning

I finally got in touch with someone at the Score Group in Peterhead on the phone a couple of weeks ago.

No visits to the Lightning possible anymore.

Company policy.

Re: The Peterhead Lightning

About 20 years ago wasn't there a Lightning on display in the South Gyle area of Edinburgh? I am sure that I saw one from a passing train once. It certainly used to sit on a roundabout there as a division of BAe had offices there. Been a while since I was down that way but I think she may have been...

Re: The Peterhead Lightning

Hi,

I'm assuming she's still there!! Although, i have tried to contact them about visiting to take a few photos myself but have had no response - they took my name and number, and another time i emailed but no response.

Perhaps it's gone? Or they're just not fussed about visitors!

Cheers,

Gav.

Re: Log Lossiemouth - Friday 17/3/17

Can anyone ID the 2 Merlins that took off after the Tornados had done their thing?

By the look of it, one was coded 'CU' on the tail, and the other wasn't!

Many thanks.

Would someone be kind enough to post what runway is in use today (Friday) for those who cannot make it in the morning?

Many thanks.

Re: JP roadrunner

Morayvia have had XS176 for quite a few years now in red/white training colours. The Highland Aviation Museum have always had the cockpit section of T.3 XN607 painted in grey, which is more likely the one being disposed of as they acquired the complete XW419 (currently at a location near Tore) as re...

Thanks Vulcanone.

It's the "After that they were disposed of.." bit that will probably forever remain a mystery, though in the grand scheme of things, it's no biggie!!
