Re: DSEI

Given that the ExCel phase 3 development has removed the Eastern Car Park and a lot of the new roof structure is already in place there isn't really room to land so I am not expecting anything. Just the one Wildcat on the back of HMS Iron Duke (details in Marine Monitoring folder). Thanks ajbc. als...

Ladder left behind

I'm currently at Lakenheath, and, as the title says, there are a set of steps, i'm the only person here.
Will be leaving about 19:30 if anyone wants me to take them and meet with the owner.
Gonna be doing Waddington, Mildenhall, Lakenheath over the next couple of weeks

Re: Folly rd closed off tonight 23/8

Went back afterwards because Ted Coningsby has been livestreaming from there. I saw some people working on the trees to the left as you drive up.
I may have got this wrong, and could be a temporary fixture.
Shame as it was some lovely light for pictures at the time

Folly rd closed off tonight 23/8

Anybody know anything?
I just tried to drive down near where the 100th KC135s are but there is a temporary barrier across the road.
A nice place to spot, will be a shame if something has caused it to be blocked.

An article I've found about the work to be carried out. Should take 18 months, 409 is the first of 3 aircraft to be worked on by Marshalls

Re: June 2023

There was a grey C-130J parked outside this morning. Any idea which one this was? Ian USMC 165739 was parked up outside this afternoon at just after 1400 - may have been this one? Did not see any US C-130s but Swedish Tp-84 842 was towed out at about 12 mid-day and put back at about 15.00, it was i...

Re: Pledge allegiance?

I swore allegiance to HM Queen Elizabeth when I joined, and not really wanting to get into the politics of it, but I believe that she was a great leader and feel a hard act to follow. I also believe that this situation shows society as we stand. Just because you want to be somewhere else on the day ...

Re: Suggestion for a new section within Worldwide Milair Monitoring

I understand your idea Eagle, one problem I see is where they are operating, if the planes originate from say USA or Spain, but then land in the UK it could get confusing about the section to post in. one thing I have always thought about is the fact that we have a dedicated Reach section but not an...
