Re: Cobra warrior history

I don't think I have missed one yet, and have the following logged; The first time the exercise took place under the name Cobra Warrior (as far as I'm aware) was in March 2016 when visiting German TLG31 and TLG73 marked EF2000s visited Coningsby. Re: Another Exercise for Waddington

I noticed today a sign has appeared at the entrance to the northern layby on Tower Lane (Harmston end) that it will be closed between 30th October and 10th November. Indicative of something happening and the same set up as has been in place for CW by the looks of it.

Re: Log 27/8-31/8

On 30th Gauntlet 38 was ZH833. Also a Chipmunk arrived at 11:21 as I was leaving (red scheme but didn't get any ID on it).

Also noteable on 31st as part of Mojo flight that will presumably be the first visit of a Norwegian F35 to Waddo

Movements 20/10/21

This may become a non movement thread as I am hearing rumours today may be a press day so possibly no flying? 103 has been towed to the north side by the B2 hangars, 110 is viewable by the crash gate at Dunfield, 136 still parked and viewable from crash gate at Marston Mersey and 140 still on pan mi...

Re: Due Waddington 23/9

If there is any heads up on an ETD it would be appreciated - noting it presumably won't be any later than 12:30 going off the NOTAM

Re: Friday 13th 2019 NOTAM

Could anyone confirm the id (serial) of Scalp 99 please. Had it both northbound
and southbound over Waddington today so intrigued as to which one it is. Checked the various threads here and couldn't find it so apologies if I have missed it. MTIA

Re: Ex Cobra Warrior parking restrictions

For all those booking leave/hotels etc, don't forget that if the exercise runs as per previous years then flying will be limited to Mon, Wed and Fri mornings only. There has occasionally been some movements outside of this period but this has been very hit and miss and usually only involved one or t...

Ex Crimson Flag planned for autumn 2020

Just read in this months AFM that ahead of USMC F-35Bs deploying aboard HMS Queen Elizabeth in 2021, they will carry out joint training with RAF Lightnings at RAF Marham in Exercise Crimson Flag which is currently planned for autumn 2020. Will be nice to see Marham getting some action again and inte...

Fantastic pics including one of my favourite birds (Dipper) and of the White tailed Eagles - still on my 'to do list'

Just for information your 'Rock Pipit' in pics 4 and 5 is actually a Twite. Nice catch

Re: FM F16's into Lakenheath 5-5-2019

Reported the unit is expected to further deploy into Europe in a couple of weeks but to return to Lakenheath in time to participate in the D-Day commemorations in early June. Next two weeks look likely to be most active at LN.

Hunter OTT Waddington 5/4

Can anyone help with the ID on the Hunter which went south-east at 13:12 over Waddington whilst waiting for the Galaxy to depart. Obviously fro HHA at Scampton and judging by the underside one of the original camo marked aircraft.

Any help appreciated.
