Re: LP-E6 batteries.

Bought the twin pack with the original style of charger when I got my R6. Never bothered to use the single Canon battery that came with the cameras as these 2 are always in the grip and offer me all the power I need.

Re: England Winter Tour of India 2024

Afraid I'd have had Jimmy on for the last few overs rather than Woody. As he's now on 699 wickets and with India highly unlikely to bat again I'd have wanted to give him the shot at 700 in case he doesn't play a test again...?

Re: England Winter Tour of India 2024

Woke up with the score at 124-2, by the time I was ready to leave for work the damage was done and it was a foregone conclusion...

Report I read suggested that it was part of the test procedure itself that went wrong and as such the missle was aborted due to safey protocol...

Re: England Winter Tour of India 2024

Wonder how this pitch will stand up after Stokes' comment about he's 'never seen anything like it'...

Yes, both teams have to bat on it but I recall along time ago a test being abandoned in the WIndies after Walsh & Ambrose opened on a pitch that was disintegrating and deemed unfit by the umpires.

Re: England Winter Tour of India 2024

If Root doesn't score BIG in our 1st innings I think he'll be heaing for a dropping as he's seemingly turning into a liablity in all areas, especially his catching. 47-4 would have seen England right on top instead of toiling away.

Re: England Winter Tour of India 2024

Need all of our batsmen to dig in and dig deep for this game and don't rely on others or get started and fail to capitalise.

Re: Black-Naped Terns, Maldives

At a casual glance I'd pass those off as w/pl Sandwich Terns so thanks for making me look more closely!

Would you know what the smaller interloper in the middle is please?

Thanks!

Re: England Winter Tour of India 2024

Anderson in for Woody & Leach injured with haematoma on knee so Shoaib Bashir gets the nod.
Still only 1 seamer concerns me with Jimmy's age and workload unless they know the pitch will rag sideways from the word go...?

Re: England tour of the Caribbean December 2023

Glad I was able to find a friendly stream for the last half of our innings, still a bit tense but a really pleasing conclusion!

I think he might have a neck strain anyway watching all the massive sixes being smashed off his bowling.

Supporting cast for the B1s, Purple Heron at Whelford Pools.

Just down the road from RAF Fairford is a long-staying juvenile Purple Heron at Whelford Pools Nature Reserve. It shows well from the hide closest to the car park and I called in there a few days ago before work and didn't have to wait long for it to appear and start fishing. It's still there today,...

Normally movement posts get reported on here just as quickly but for backup then "RAF Fairford/Bombertown" is excellent as is "Planes Cameras Banter" if you're not easily offended!

Pretty sure it will be local - ETD 10.50 - suggested it will be Rwy 27 in use by that time as well.
