Re: Harrier identity at AMARG request.
The Phantom I completely missed the acronym  Just finished a week of 12 hour shifts and I was brain dead yesterday. There is only a handful of mod's who are active every day and sadly we can't be great all the time. Occasionally we miss posts as it impossible to check every post in every thre...

Re: Airshows
Hi rdchawk, I agree with you on crowd lines at airshows, and fools who cross them, but this accident was outside the perimeter. One thing the news are saying is having airshows over the sea (at seasides). Any comments on this?. The nearby annual Brighton airshow used to be performed over t...

Re: Hawker Hunter crashed at Shoreham
The BBC showed a picture of a light aircraft crash at Sandown and reported the pilot as recovering in hospital.
Even by bad aviation reporting standards, this is the pits.

When it's active this is one of the easiest RAF stations to view from, with a grandstand seat on the action.

I used those gun sounds some time ago in part of a War Thunder video, using the Corsair and some others.
Here's the Corsair part.

Re: TV ........Guy Martins Spitfire
Well, like Paddyboy, I've been around for many years. My wife reminded me about the programme, but, knowing the history of this aircraft, and being on a nodding relationship with Cliff Spink and John Romain, I decided not to watch it. Great for youngsters, but, like all television these days, been th...

Re: TV ........Guy Martins Spitfire
The fuselage , wings, engine, electrics, controls, etc. are all brand new and if they had all been replaced over the last 70 odd years had this Spit had survived the war, there would be no question that this was the same aircraft. It just happens that it has been done in a shorter period. The result...

Re: Anyone go any spare cash
I have been empowered to inform you that the MoD have placed a bid for all of the Harriers. GR 3 XZ132, will be returned to full operational status in order to ensure that there will be at least one aircraft capable of taking off from the Queen Elizabeth carrier when it comes into service. Those wit...

Re: I downloaded some interesting viruses today
When you get an e-mail, for example from Adobe with updates, how can you tell if it's genuine or not ? It's about time the authorties were able to nick these computer criminals and do some testicular stomping. :grr: pawlee It might be safest to ignore the update popup and go direct to their site an...

Re: I downloaded some interesting viruses today
Had a quick look & it seems like it could be Adware, here's the issue most AV vendors don't see Adware as a virus but a potentially unwnted program (PUP) the bane of my life. Try Kaspersky option 1st if no joy with that a case of finding the .EXE that's associated with the process & removing it man...

Re: I downloaded some interesting viruses today
The good news is, I removed them all. Regards.[/quote] The bad news is. I found today 1 piece I can't get rid of and nobody seems to know what it is ( might be a key logger). It must be bad as it has the same timestamp as the other baddies. Anti viruses don't recognize it. ( buuoujqmrk64 ) It can't ...

I downloaded some interesting viruses today
Looking on Photobucket today a popup warned me that Java needed updating in order to view the images and so I downloaded it. This produced a flood of mall-ware, mainly registry checking freeware but more sinister were some intrusive viruses. VuuPC. This produces a continuous invite to download a too...
