Great pics and some lovely rotor blur - what shutter speed were you using, please? Thanks for sharing!
Thanks Pete! Off the top of my head I think I was varying between 1/100 and 1/250 given the changing light.

Cheers, Danny
Thanks Danny!

Lovely. shots... The jet looks so different without tanks/stores etc.
You must be a mind-reader: exactly what I was thinking, they do look different! :)

Nice shots, thanks for sharing. The F4 in particular looks great! And that's an awful lot of rivets on display on that very small part of a Shackleton! :Wow:

ZM705 Imphal Barracks

AH64E ZM705 (confirmed) dropped into Imphal Barracks, York today for a few hours. ADSB showed it calling AAC301. Pics of it arriving, and departing - thanks to the crew for keeping it nice and low over our house! :thumb: No rotor blur.....sorry :grr: https://live.staticflickr.com/65535/53600035741_a...

I'm told the airframes are due to go up to Leeming, so there is hope still.

Re: RAF Scampton Relics

XF995 flew for many years with HHA at Scampton until the Shoreham disaster grounded it. I don't believe any of the other jets ever flew at Scampton, although the Su-22 and Buccaneer both had regular anti-det runs. Many thanks! The F-4 is an ex-German F-4E I believe? 37+89 is a F-4F, there was anoth...

Re: RAF Scampton Relics

I was hoping they were going to follow the other HHA aircraft up to Leeming, and be flying on a regular basis....
Did any of those 'frames ever fly whilst at Scampton?

Re: St.Mawgan International Air Day: 6th August 1975 (Pic. Heavy)

Cor! Drooled over these pics for ages - any post with F-4s and F-104s does it for me every time. As one fellow FCer observed, the a/c all look pristine, almost just off the production line (which is far from the truth for most types). Thanks for sharing (more please!).

Re: Bentwaters AFD 1971 - a couple of pictures

Remember that show. Something about a "clean" F4 - looks like it is going a gazillion miles an hour, even when on the ground... :O :Wow: :pop:
