Re: Uniden 3500XLT PC Cable

For a home base antenna I use the one found here.....

viewtopic.php?f=182&t=4069" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

For mobile I use the Watson Supergain 881. Both are equallly as good.

Hope this helps

Rich

I am down here from Yorkshire and dont get to see much night flying.

Do you think it'll worth going down (or go somewhere else) with my camera for an hour or so

Yeovilton tonight - 14/5/12

I was passing Yeovilton tonight and heard tower saying "airport now closed but will reopen at 21.45 for night flying".

I was wondering if it would be worth a ride out to see what was happening. anyone any idea if it'll be worth it?

Re: Farnborough Air Show

Nothing as fancy as the ADS (SBAC), TAg etc.. I work for a large Global Aerosapce company and we have a large stand and quite a large presence at the show.

I have been for the last 6 years and really enjoy it. This year is going to be much larger for us ;-)

Re: 50th RAF Anniversary at Leconfield

I have lived in Beverley all my life and am a littel to young to remember the lightnings but seem to recall them flying late at night. One thing I do remember are the A10's circuling over leconfield queing up to use Cowden bombing range. I have often wondered where is the best place to catch the Sea...

Re: KC135 wing pod query

Also a company in the US make them called Sargent Fletcher. The main difference between the cobham and Sargent Fletcher pods is that the Sagrgent Fletcher pods have a small propellor which generates it's own power but the Cobham variation takes all it power from the aircraf.
