Re: EV battery info

Hasn't the EU, thanks to Germany and Italy now gone back on the 2035 date and compromised that ICE cars can be sold after that date but must be able to run on only BIO / Synthetic fuels

Re: Micro Four Thirds opinions sought

Hi, I moved to micro 4/3rds from a canon 7d to a Panasonic G9 with the 100-400 Leica. While it’s a very good camera and the image quality is great it does struggle with focusing on moving objects. I mainly “do” motorsport photography and found my keeper rate to be about 50% compared to 70+ with the ...

The above is one more reason EV's are not the answer personal mobility. Anyway, don't worry there soon won't be enough availability of electricity to plug in the stupid virtue signalling misdirection that are EV's...blackouts this winter here we come, EV's aren't even that "green" Polestar who make ...

Re: Vulcan - Wellesbourne 16/09/22

Like many of us here, I too have read the reports, and seen the video footage, of this near disaster. What is most disconcerting to me is the cavalier approach by those at Wellesbourne Airfield who thought it safe and acceptable to proceed:- - fast-taxi this airplane with only the Airspeed Indicato...

Does Valley still have a summer break?

Just a quick question, i know in the past Valley used to have 2 week shutdown, doest this still happen? Asking as i'll be on the island last week of June and would go sit on the dunes if there was flying activity.

Thanks

James

Re: Russian Planes Carry Nukes Into Swedish Airspace

🌻 🇺🇦 😷 The Putin Russian leaders possess nuclear weapons and claim that they will use them. The Western Alliance also have nuclear weapons and have stated that they are unlikely to use them. Not the brightest move on the part of the Alliance? Stay safe if possible. Not sure hands face space will he...

Re: 2022 Six Nations Rugby

Home wins? Scotland to beat England ! Eddie Jones won't be in his usual rumbustious mood Back to back 6 nations victories over England for the Scots, That’s my hope. I’d rather Ireland didn’t win, but think we’ve got too many injuries. Would love Italy to put one over the French but that really is ...

Not long to go now...pub is ready and primed, kidneys and liver on high alert. It's going to be great to watch it again in the company of friends no matter what nation.

Bring on the banter.

I predict 3 home wins for the first weekend

Re: RAF sets record first flight using synthetic fuel.

Porsche are investing 100's of millions in synthetic bio fuels to keep their high performance cars running with combustion engines, at least its another way forward. The idea of driving / flying around in an electric something with as much charisma as a fridge depresses me.

Re: Fuel prices

Because the media keep reporting it. Navigation app Waze added fuel availability to their notifications, PRA keeping banging on about things not getting better. So many agendas at play that we’re doomed.

Re: Fuel prices

This would never have happened without the BP press leak regarding 5 fuel stations, yes only 5 ran out, coupled with irresponsible scare monger reporting by the media! Maybe because Covid is no longer the headline story something else was needed to sell papers and push BBC up the rankings?

Re: Formula 1 2021

What surprised me was the way Max reacted after the incident, just got out of the car and walked away, didn't even bother to check Lewis was ok even though he'd parked on top of him...didn't he say Lewis disrespected him after the Silverstone crash by celebrating the win even though it was known by ...
