Re: COVID-19 UK

Agreed regarding the media, negative sensationalist headline sell...also as a country we are useless with stats, from what I can research we are one of a tiny minority that do not report recovered cases, unlike other who report active cases not just new cases...

Re: COVID-19 UK

My partner works for the NHS, ethnicity is the main driver when it come to collecting data, BAME groups are being risk assessed. Age, underlying health and obesity the biggest risk factors when it come to mortality. 99.9% of healthy people do not die, most don’t even display symptoms. The infection ...

Re: COVID-19 UK

Hey, don’t worry, as a few on here have previously pointed out he was only following his instincts, or maybe testing his eyesight before flying off somewhere more distant and thought a quick 15mins on the beach wouldn’t be an issue. Also technically didn’t break the lockdown rules in Wales as he did...

Some people really do have more money than sense...a PC12 is not a cheap toy! I guess at least they didn't drive there!

Re: COVID-19 UK

He took all precautions when travelling and self isolated when he got to his destination, he then did the sensible thing by driving locally to make sure he was 100% fit to drive before the journey back to London. All this was to ensure that he had kid care for his 4 yr old had the CV symptoms taken...

Correct. Their one child is a boy.

Re: COVID-19 UK

Cumming is not an"extremely influential member of the British government". He isn't - he's hired help. and if believe that then we're all doomed...Cummings is effectively running the Government as it was shown yesterday...i've voted Conservative all my life (except in December) and can't believe th...

Re: COVID-19 UK

The media are the 'special one's' these days. They cannot be held to account. The BBC home page is full of Cummings - what about other covid news , vaccine progress , new therapeutic treatments etc. What happened to the R in other countries when they loosened the lockdown? We are getting no informa...

Re: Spotting during the pandemic

I’m not sure the politics of the pandemic should come into it on an aircraft spotting forum, but hey ho. The bottom line is you are responsible for your own actions, which should be based on your own personal circumstances, whilst of course staying within the rules and laws for whatever part of the...

Re: COVID-19 UK

Far too early! Not really, actually too late, the curve has been flattened, hospital admissions peaked on 8th April, so the NHS is saved, whatever that meant, the 15,000 ventilators ordered from Dyson have been cancelled, deaths are falling and R factor is under 1. As an example Sweden did not lock...

Re: COVID-19 UK

Ok I was thinking of the rate of infections rather than the sum The infection rate isn't any higher, its what its been since the begining of the outbreak, its just by testing more people you see that many more people have it...a large % with mild or no symptoms...the press is very good at giving sh...

Re: COVID-19 UK

I hope to drive over during July - have to wait and see how things pan out From a COVID point for view I should think driving is better than flying (but of course driving is generally far more dangerous than flying ) Another 6000 positive cases announced today Test more people, get more positives.....

Re: COVID-19 UK

If someone in power would just come out and say, if you catch it you stand a 25% or more chance of dying. Some of these people might stop and think. Maybe read this... https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/health-52543692 So not sure your quite right as figures actually show the chances of dying of Covid 19 a...
