Re: Raf museum Hendon
I went in between Christmas & New Year as its been about 4 years since my last visit. There were loads of kids and families about which is good to see, especially if they get the historic part of aviation. Unfortunately, the likes of me don't spend much ££ there, so probably rely on families coming ...

Re: Sony a77 pixel question
Its not a big issue the size, it used to be, but a 128GB sandisk gives me thousands of pictures.Black Mike wrote: ↑Thu Aug 22, 2024 8:31 pmRAW images are around 24mb each from memory.
My son still uses the camera.

Re: Sony a77 pixel question
For me, I'd shoot full resolution without using the built in crop. Its easy to crop in post processing. Always RAW as its easier to manipulate and recover detail from shadows etc. Also the A77 is an older sensor and has higher levels of noise compared to modern mirrorless or full frame sensors. Usi...

Sony a77 pixel question
Hello Everyone, I just wanted to see if we have any experts in the field of pixels. The reason I ask is that I have just bought a second hand Sony a77. I'm really impressed as it takes good quality photos, & has 20 million pixels, more than enough for me. BUT, it has a feature which allows you to x1...

Re: Royal International Air Tattoo 2024 General Discussion Thread
mmm...and where would they all fit?! :O :Wow: Your saying Fairfords not big enough?! :D Realistically you'd need 1750 feet of taxiway (31 foot wingspan & 8 foot between each jet), bravo taxiway is probably 9,000 feet long, not to mention the other hardstands. :) It would have been a sight! :Wow:

There should have been an option when the ticket was purchased If you have purchased a general admission ticket you can also add into the basket with this a car pass for your time here. Re: Royal International Air Tattoo 2024 General Discussion Thread
Someone put that they have a car park pass. Is that something you have to add or is this in the general admission ticket. I didn't choose any park and ride so assumed I could park in the car park.

Re: Royal International Air Tattoo 2024 General Discussion Thread
I haven't been to RIAT in a while and wondered what it was like for the day trippers. Any advice on routes, carparks, times car parks open just to get there in good time to see everything in a day.
Many thanks.
Many thanks.

11 Squadron?
Hi Folks,
I put the topic 11 Sqn? on purpose (? mark) as I haven't heard them airborne for quite some time.
Can anyone shed any light where they are at or is it due to the amount of operations elsewhere that 11 sqn have been "mothballed" for a while.
