Re: Red Flag 24/2

Why are they two weeks late? They’ve been operating from Hill and their Green Flag is likely to start on Monday. Regards Mark 8 LN jets arrived yesterday at Nellis 2 weeks late. From what I’ve been told there’s two very broken ones. One at Hill and one at Gander. All the jets might make it to Tyndal...

Re: B1b RAF Fairford

Pass, but I have since been told that the fire engines met the Bone on arrival so maybe it is tech too. The tanker definitely broke though. My friend sent me a message from the base in ‘Scandinavia’ that he was at. Regardless, I’m glad that it hadn’t departed! Regards Mark Thanks for the info' ramea...

Re: B1b RAF Fairford

It was actually the B-1s tanker that broke as I know somebody who should have flown in it. The B-1 then had to divert which was handy for those who needed it. I know of two people who needed 095 as their last B-1 so myself and Andy are both very happy that it did divert in 😎 (I read it off just befo...

Regards Mark Thanks very much Mark , I’ll get to work on it I was at BUR on 5.2 and can confirm read off 02 & 10 outside the hangar with one inside didn’t see a fourth though. Be good to get...

Re: Last Chance Point

The pins are removed in the sun shelter prior to taxi. Regards Mark Also when the F-35A arrive at the EOR there are no pins to remove. If the pits are in use the Eagles shut down one engine and will stop again at the last chance with ground crew while the second engine is spun up. The F-35A on the o...

Re: KC-46A

24-46404 is the FMS serial for the JASDF jet. Is 44-3614 confirmed as the Japanese serial because I saw it in December and it was wearing 34-3614? Regards Mark 21-46091 left Boeing Field on delivery to 305 AMW at McGuire today (1st March). It flew as Pudgy20, the 20th KC-46A to be delivered to the u...

Re: New Depth Support Facility

The main runway at Middle Wallop is a grass runway... This is good to know. It will be good to see Middle Wallop a little more active. Thank you for the info I wonder if this will mean an increase in the runway length as I assume the maintenance of these AH-64E's will need parts transported in, but ...

Re: USAF EA-37B Updates

5518 (N518GA) was cancelled to Italy in December 2015! Nothing to do with con no 5618/N518GA which is current on the US register and will become a 'military' variant of some sort!

Re: USAF EA-37B Updates

I've no idea either lol! It's definitely an EA-37B though. Same paint scheme and DM in the tail along with the serial. Not a mispole either because I must have read it off at least 4 times!

Re: USAF EA-37B Updates

Just to confuse things, I saw a painted EA-37B at Waco in December wearing the serial 19-587/DM in the tail and 1587 on the nose (so 19-1587?)! It doesn’t fit in with any of the known construction numbers allocated to the type!

According to some rumours:

Israel -> F-16
RAF -> Eurofighter
Saudi Arabia -> Eurofighter and F-15
Spain -> F/A-18
UAE -> F-16

'A400M France not read (0134 delivered 12th, maybe this one?)'

Was the above parked facing east next to a Spanish one? If so, 0134/F-RBAW is correct (I too was there on the 11th).

Re: V-22 Osprey Grounded

Not such a long shot… These four supported the POTUS visit to LA in December. Three of them remain at Burbank. You just need to find out where the fourth one is and which one it is to work out the Burbank ones. 168284/02, 168297/05, 168327/09, and 168332/10. I was at Burbank in the dark a few weeks ...

My hunch is that the Italian aircraft will all be second hand G550 frames.
Five Peregrines (MC-55A)? I thought the order was for four and these are well into production/conversion? I could be mistaken.
