Re: Yeovilton AirDay 2020

There is a dedicated disabled parking area on hard standing but on the other side of the road to the actual airfield. I managed to park on the airfield last time adjacent to a disabled parking area (after getting lost whilst heading to the VIP entrance). It was only yards from the static display an...

Re: Altcar 2020

When they land at the FARP, there is one spot along the path where you can see and photograph the complete airframe through holes n the hedge. Assuming of course the FARP is in the same location as the last ex. Re the jobsworth and taking photographs. I had a run-in with him the last time, so asked ...

Re: 216 Sqn to stand up in April as a swarm drone squadron

Re: Ripped off photo's

In no way am I saying I agree with using others photos without giving due credit. In fact I class it as a crime. However, most would not think twice about passing on, or posting a sighting made by someone else's expensive scanner or virtual radar equipment. In fact many photographers act on such rep...

I think you may find that the Scramble forum covers both the VE Day parade flypast participants based at Kubinka and also Army 18.

Post 1, page 1 explains why. Only been here 6 years and 25 pages! So that's 6 years and 25 pages where those reading the Coningsby section have missed posts about Coningsby. Or for 6 years and 24 pages readers are confused about what location these posts are referring to :-) Maybe if they were reti...

Delighted to report that the heavy duty temporary road surface to the new access facility adjacent CG1 has been lifted and will allow the grass to recover.. Hence, large lorry movements have finished, and with luck all contractors will finish soon. Then, of course, Matey will be pondering a new fen...

Re: Increased Flying 6th Nov-6th Dec

Maybe there were to be two exercises running parallel, as the official Leeming site said "The Station will be hosting various multi-national aircraft".
Yorknight hours are showing as above, but as you say the NOTAM is until 22.00 hours and true to form the F-18s are flying into the evening.

£158 - the end result of previous non media visitors and some tour groups applying for something they were not entitled to - a media pass.
For those who have not tried it, get together with a few friends and hire a boat for the day.
