Re: Valley Air Days 1980 & 1981
Hi , At that time RAF Valley only had bi-annual airshows, there was no airshow for 1980, but there was for 1975-77-79-81-83 etc. There was link to all Valley airshows from that period from Merseyside Aviation Society /North west air news,if I can find it I will try to put it up. Re: Woodvale /EGOW
Fast jets do not use Woodvale, short runway ,they trialled it one year and since then they and the Red Arrows use Blackpool or Liverpool. You might see the odd private JP now and then. GR

9/8/2012 unusual C130 over Lancs
This morning in West Lancashire at 11.19 I watched a 4 prop engined aircraft ,it looked and sounded like a C130. It had an orange tail and wingtips and was quite high and going west out over the Irish sea. Anyone ID this for me? TIA GR

Re: The end for Red Arrows Hawk T1 XX260??
apparently '260' suffered major engine blade and intake damage from the bird strike ,and as she had only 50 flying hours left the decision was made to strip down for spares

The Sea Vixen is XS577,it was scrapped in 2004 when Llanbedr closed, though the nose may have been saved.
