Re: Former RAF Leuchars old railway line

The last time I saw 64009 in Leuchars was in 1990 and she was wearing the nameplates for Osprey. Some video footage is on my Utube channel at Seafurysmithpics if your interested. Hearing the whistle through out the airshow was interesting!

Also i saw the last four ship scramble at Waddington and I remember coming out of 2427 Sqn's huts at RAF Biggin Hill and seeing the Vulcan flyin...

Sony A77

My Sony A77 could do with servicing and (I think) a firmware update. Does anyone have any experience or recommendations of this that might help. Looking for a specialist pref. in the London and Southeast area. Any advice gratefully received.

Re: 72(R) Sqn - Grand Flypast 27th June

Had a good view of the formation at Biggin Hill and was pleased to see they made two passes, which I didn't expect. Very nicely flown and worth seeing. Well done to all on 72(r) Sqn who made it happen and ya boo sucks to that old misery Supra who clearly doesn't get any fun in life!! http://i36.phot...

Re: White Waltham Air Pageant 1977

My brother knew the Training Captain who flew that display who he went flying with him. He once told him he was that low that he couldn't have lowered the undercarriage even if he wanted to! More importantly that show was the only time I saw George Aired loop the mosquito wish I could find some movi...

Re: Lightnings-six of the best .

A great set of shots, brings back memories of many days stood on top of the wolds at Binbrook. Wish we had digital camera's then. Nice to see XR726, I once owned the ejector seat that was once fitted to her, had it in the garage for thirty odd years.........

I see the BBC News website reckons there will be 18 Hurricanes and 6 Spitfires today!? Isn't modern journalism wondefull... See the London Biggin Hill Airport Community Facebook page for the routings and last minute info.

Lockheed F104 Starfighter

How many F104 demonstration teams can you name that displayed in Europe (not civilian teams or in the USA). The one I remember best were of course the BAF's team 'The Slivers' who I saw several times mostly at Biggin Hill. Then we had the FGN Vikings and the RCAF's five ship team who I knew as the T...
