Interesting G-VYGM flew out of Manchester to Prestwick this afternoon using the call sign call sign TOW755.
Operator listed as Air Tanker not Jet2.

Re: Defence Spending

Interesting...just to meet the 2.5% target will require an extra £7 billion. After the reaction to the recent tax increases even more taxation won't go down well with Joe Public.

Re: UK to scrap some warships, helicopters and drones

If you want more aircraft/ships etc then you have to pay more tax...imagine how popular that would be bearing in mind the headlines about the NI increases and changes in the IHT liability for farms.

".."Tempest if it does go ahead"
Isn't it likely that Tempest will be just as expensive as the F-35??

Re: 14 Squadron Crusaders

I presume the name "Crusaders" came from 14 Sqn's long service in the Middle East in both World Wars. The squadron badge has a red cross on a white background which is supposed to a Crusader symbol. Post WW2 the RAF addressed the issue as of those squadrons which had official or unofficial names e.g...

Beach no longer used for car parking just for spectators but a bit muddy in places. Sunday show as set out above though Typhoon cancelled. Weather improved as day went on but Red ...

Re: Kings Birthday Flypast 15th June

Thanks for the info and links - v helpful.
I was thinking of using the A17 side for photography but I wonder if that spot might be too close to the flypast. Any idea at what height they fly 250 or 500ft? NOTAM's silent/
