Re: Enquiry re - US based Canberras

just had a measure up as best I could, that runway looks to be only 3,000 odd feet, definitely not 6,000. Slightly related, when I was a lad I asked an RAF pilot why the Lightning had to operate out of Manston for its display at Biggin Hill. He said it was because Biggin's runway was 6,000 feet end...

Re: Radio or App ?

I second colt99 in respect of ADS-B Exchange. I was certainly tempted by 360radar but not keen on the price of GBP20 pa plus having to fully sign up just for a 48 hour trial. I have tried many site for Aircraft tracking without naming them, and I have a SBS-1 so decided to go with 360Radar to compl...

Great log and it helped filling in my gaps, I could not believe the traffic jam that was caused when they all RTB after the practice RAF 100. Being as it was my last day in your great county it made a great ending to my two weeks holiday in Lincolnshire.

Going to visit again today, looking forward to some action as I see nothing down South! Regards...

There are military showing on 360Radar, eg Tornados in East Anglia, and Queens flight S-76 showing TQF1 on the map of UK.

The thorns on the branch of the tree the African Silverbill (No3) look fierce! Would not want to get stuck in those branches.

Re: Read One?

I think that is rather naive, there are many photos on this forum that are very obviously taken on the centreline at the end of the runway (not necessarily Scampton's but this applies everywhere) so this is definitely a good place to post this reminder! Surely as Bigfreeq says it does not matter if...

I have to agree with Olicat its nice to see a shot of action rather than the mundane taking off or landing shots.
