It is nice to see other countries aircraft which we do not get to see at airshows in the states. The only ...

I have been to many air shows in my time and the only aircraft I have not seen up close and personal which I hoped would be at this air show is the AC-130 Gunship.

It would have been nice if USAF planes from the Pacific Air Command (PACAF) would have shown up. Oh well.

I did not know any country still flies the F-4 phantoms. The USAF replaced them with the F-16s a long time ago.

Re: Royal International Air Tattoo 2024 General Discussion Thread
The Air Force Air Mobility Command need to put on their big boy pants (what you call trousers) and show up. With an airshow of this size, I do not see the US Air Force not sending any aircraft. The United States Air Force In Europe (USAFE) still has F-16s in Germany and Italy, F15s and F35s at Laken...

Re: Royal International Air Tattoo 2024 General Discussion Thread
Air Shows in the states also make you go through metal detectors and bag searches. They also make you show your ID because most of the air shows are on military bases, so security is tight. These are done by military security police.
