Re: Vampires, Mig, Gnats, Provosts, P-51... 14/08/16
I don't know how many of you were up there, but the Mustang pilot (or perhaps another pilot at the same time as the Mustang was taxying?) reported a crowd of people to the tower for gathering on the grass by the revetments. Best to seek permission first, we don't want access ruined because people a...

A few, ahem, images from today of the Norwegian Historic Flight Vampires & Mig-15. Fabulous aeroplanes, but I must admit I do have a soft spot for the Mig! 1. http://www.milairpix.com/2016/part2/vampire-2909.jpg 2. http://www.milairpix.com/2016/part2/vampire-2912.jpg 3. http://www.milairpix.com/2016...

Re: G-HUEY Bell UH-1H Iroquois 06/08/16
Having been at Weald myself this weekend, and seen how free you are to roam and position yourself for the best of the light, there's really no need or excuse ever to shoot backlit there. A lot of underexposed images, which is the norm for your threads, but even if you won't listen to reason on that...

Re: Is this the coolest thing ever???
Agreed, that is pretty cool! Sorry Rog, nerf thing, even on an A-10, does zilch for me. Maybe a sign of aging! My cool is Caribbean beach, swim with dolphins, wing walking, that sort of thing. Seeing the A400 doing circuits at Woodbridge this week will have to suffice... That's OK :-) It just made ...

A few hours spent at North Weald today, very quiet, but worth the trip to see G-HUEY head off early afternoon. The sound she makes really is superb. 1. http://www.milairpix.com/2016/part2/ghuey-2636.jpg 2. http://www.milairpix.com/2016/part2/ghuey-2640.jpg 3. http://www.milairpix.com/2016/part2/ghue...
