Re: B1b RAF Fairford

The B-1 has just been towed back down to the B-2 hangars and parked up with a couple of flood lamp units set around it.

Re: nook farm

It was open and dry enough to drive across and park next to the trailer when I was there 23/2.
£2 to get in.
Didn't see toilets.
You need a ladder for the top of the trailer as the base has added coils of razor wire to the normal fence height to obscure the view.

Hope that helps!

Lovely set, it brightens up a dull winter day for me!

Much as I love a Herc those anonymous grey ones are bland as hell...

Re: Eton Travel/Ian Allan

I think the Exercise is going ahead but aircraft will be based elsewhere and the spotters days are off because of resurfacing the runway at Konya AFB, which is a shame as it was great last year and very well organised by TAF

Draken, Sabre, Vampire, B-25. Wow.

I went last year and said I wouldn't go again due to the flying being backlit but might have a rethink.

There's a trip report and photos over on UK Airshow Review in the Airshow Photos section. No log though.

Re: Italian Airforce 100th anniversary 2023

The P-51 trio practice was on when my bus from Rome arrived and looked good, then some Frecce flypasts and an EF2000 around 16.00. The G.91R just flew past my balcony at 16.23 and 16.25! I’ve been looking forward to this for ages, have a great show everyone who’s lucky enough to be here, and don’t f...

You're welcome Warthog, good luck. You could probably turn up at the gate and bluff it if not!

Weather forecasts looking better now, fingers crossed.

Re: RAF Cosford Airshow 2023

Well that could have gone better. I have sympathy for anyone in their management team who are enthusiasts, they may be gutted after the run of cancellations before and during the show. A bit of a disappointing exit for the RAF C-130, I would have expected more of a celebration than a quick single fl...

Re: RAF Cosford Airshow 2023

Wouldn't hurt for the skies to be a bit moody, like for the German Navy P-3 flypasts in 2019, that was lovely

Latest Met Office forecast for Sunday looking better now, light westerlies and chance of rain reduced to 10% for the afternoon. Hopefully they are hedging their bets less now, fingers crossed!
