Photographing the flying display will be the most important part of the day for me. Been it it every year and really like it. I...

There is currently an unscheduled deployment of one, if you want to see a Ellsworth B-1 on the ground.

Nice set of an exotic visitor. Looks like you found a great shooting position (I'm not familiar with Lossiemouth).

Re: Head Spinning - Newbie DSLR Purchase
Another vote for the Nikon 70-300 AF-P FX. Reviews suggest that the FX version is the one to get even if you have a DX body. Re: Lakenheath - nuclear store
🇺🇦 🌻 🇺🇦 According to Google when asked “do nuclear weapons give off radiation?” Moderately. They have an instrumentally detectable radiation because both weapon uranium and weapons-grade plutonium are radioactive. However they emit alpha particles which are relatively easy to stop. Electricity gene...

Re: B1 Deployment Patches (10/2023)
I wouldn't say often but it's not unheard of either.
Last year, one of the Lakenheath aircraft maintenance squadrons did a tribute patch to the spotters.
99ERS at Fairford had a Friday patch with the U-2 flying over the spotters.

For missions of this length, do they still debrief straight after? Or do they allow crew to eat and sleep first?
