Re: UK F-35s deploy

Nice shots Good to see them go with very little fuss ( apart from requiring replacement PMDs whatever they are - sounded like a device or component with flight management data on it , bit like the 'brick' that would have been taken out to a Tornado). Thanks Mike, good to see you again. I guess Marh...

Re: Phantom front fuselage roadrunner

Please can anyone identify a Phantom front fuselage / cockpit section seen on a trailer / low loader travelling westbound on the A14 between Cambridge and Huntingdon at approximately 6 pm on Friday 10th May 2019? It had RAF 74 Sqn markings and was, ahem, in need of restoration. Likely to be XT907

Thanks for that Tom

So, that is the one that has been marked as 45-59556 with the peppermint stripe (red and white) on the tail?

Cheers
John
No, 45-59556 is correctly marked as such, preserved outside there coded FS-556.

Greetings all

I'm trying to locate (if it is still preserved) YP-84A 45-59487

It was listed as being on display at Chino airport once upon a time and was curious of it's present whereabouts

Any help is greatly appreciated!

Cheers

Nice pictures. Thanks for posting. The passengers on that cruise ship would have had great photo opportunities!
Yes, the upper decks on that cruise ship looked down onto the Stennis deck. CVNs are fairly large vessels, but it was dwarfed by the size of the cruise ship next to it.

FM into Lakenheath

Just a record shot of the arrival of the first Makos 93FS F-16 into Lakenheath this evening.

Only 3 out of the 12 frames were any good for me, hope for some decent weather whilst they are flying from here

It is the leftovers of the Canberra TT.18 WK124. The nose has been saved and is being restored. No idea where, however

Stennis in Marseille April 2019

A few pics of USS John C. Stennis (CVN 74) when berthed in Marseille earlier this week. Sony RX10 M3. Fixed 24-600mm lens. Fast, lightweight, fantastic for travelling. I traded in all my old Canon DSLR kit for it and would NEVER go back. Here are a few typical ones from familiar places so people can compare for themselves. 01. http://www.wattisham.org.uk/images/suff3193.jpg German A.40...

Mildenhall Folly Road Zoom

Just a little bit of testing this morning at a hazy Folly Road, Mildenhall. These were all taken with the same single camera, comparing it's zoom settings. These images were taken on FULL AUTO mode, and are unprocessed and UNCROPPED. They have just been resized to 1,000 pix wide for web use. I make ...
