Re: Scramble website offline

It looks as if they are suffering from a DDoS attack, I note that the Air History image site [also based out the The Netherlands] is also suffering from a similar problem. Confirmed by one of the team: It seems we have been target of a D-DOS attack on the site. Hopefully Tomorrow It wil be online.

I can’t access it today. As you mention it was slow yesterday too.

Re: St Mawgan Air Day 1980

Could anyone confirm the serials of the two German F-104s, and their unit. I've checked the Scramble report and there's a discrepancy between it and my notes. Trawled for photos but haven't found any. MTIA. 'BAR' has them as F-104Gs 21+23 and 23+12, both of MFG-2 and flying as 'The Vikings' display...

Re: The best of 2024

Pitot tube cover still on the Chipmunk!!!???. Hope he removed it in time, or did he??? Lovely pictures !! Nice to see the only two-seat A.10 built.!! Someone did wave frantically at him, but he was only moving it on the ground, no intention of flying. As long as he didn't turn on the pitot heat!......

The best of 2024

It's that time of year again! Started with a trip to the west coast of the USofA for the first Red Flag, and a few other assorted places. Re: 50 years of Turkish F-4s

Q - in the last two pics, the aircraft is carrying something, perhaps on the right inner underwing pylon, that has two tubes projecting forward - any idea what this was? :S :pop: The four regular jets that flew all had it and trawling through Flickr for Turkish F-4s throws up a few shots with that ...

Fabulous. Would anyone have a list of the serials of all the F-4Es present that day? Are the eight in the Elephant Walk their last remaining airworthy Phantoms?

10 in the elephant walk plus four in a static display. The Scramble database shows 20 active.
