Re: (Half) circles in the sky.

Looking at flightradar24 playback, there was a Gulfstream G650ER doing exactly that. Left from Farnborough and did some loops between Peterborough and off the coast. Will attach a photo in a minute once I figure out how too! :thumb:

For anyone on Sky Glass, 168. Channel numbers are different to normal Sky for some daft reason.

Osprey posters

I heard in passing from someone onlune that the Osprey static display team were giving out posters. Did anyone here get one? I'd love it if anyone had a spare too! If not, just sering it would be fine.

I wonder whether the Argantian was cancelled due to the name of the aircraft.

Chris
Gloucestershire Live seems to be reporting it that way. Seems like a plausible reason, but would certainly be a bit of a let down if that's the reason in my opinion.

Re: B-1 arrival Discussion.

Now the bones are here, could I ask if the U-2s are likely to leave? Or is it a more permanent deployment?

Valley traffic comes across the sea. East Coast traffic varies but usually over from the Dales area.
I see, what altitude would this east coast traffic be at? Going to be near Austwick, so might by pushing my luck a bit being right at the bottom of the dales if it's lower altitude.

Re: Route Into LFA17

Could I ask which way any aircraft come up to the lakes? I'd imagine jets mostly come from the South East of the UK, would these pass up the West Coast, or along the East Coast turning to the lakes around York?

Route Into LFA17

Going to be up near the lakes pretty soon, could anyone help me out and tell me what routes any low flying jets take towards the area? Just so I have an idea of where to look for anything headed there if I can't get chance to go into the valley itself.

Or lets hope no one gets bombed would be more approptiate attitude. 😐
Unless by some miracle one of em accidentally heads to the kremlin, you're right. We don't want more civilian deaths, ukrainian or not. I'm glad it didn't hit something bigger, it's damn big bomb.

U-2 Fairford Deployment Paths

I've always wanted to spot the U-2, and looking through recent Heads Up notices, I've see mentions lf em heading over Manchester and North Wales at high altitude from RAF Fairford. Is this a frequent occurence, and is there any typical route the Dragon Ladies take over the area?

Eurofighter Typhoon over Silverdale - 19-22/4/2022

Hi, I just remembered seeing a Typhoon blasting over at a few thousand feet last year. Rather foolishly, I forgot what day it is, but I know it was between the 19th and the 22nd of April. It's what got me back into aviation, but I was never able to figure out a serial or amything at the time. It was...

Scroll right to the bottom of the Heads Up section that lists all the different topics and you'll find it in the right corner in the blue bar next to "Home < Board Index"
Would've never seen that myself haha. Thanks again!

Hmm, I can't find an option to be notified for every now topic made, just replies under a topic that already exists. Any way to do that, or am I just being a bit dim?

Notifications?

Hi, just completely curious, is it possible to set it up so that i get an email/notification when stuff is posted on Heads Up? Probably not, but I thought I might as well ask so I don't miss an F-35 because alerts on Flightradar never work again

C-130 Over Newcastle - 12/04/2023

Hi, anyone got info on a C-130 heading North along the coast near Newbiggin-By-The-Sea, Newcastle at around 9-10AM BST on Wednesday 12th April? Looked decently low, maybe about 10k feet though I'm nit too sure. No info on Flightradar24 or adsbexchange, but the livery on the underside looked like a U...

How Should I Start A Logbook?

Hi, I recently picked up a decently large notebook, hoping to start logging any spots from now on, since in the past I've just held onto photos. What kind of information should I include, and how should I format it to get the most out of the space I have available? I'd love to see any examples you h...
