Re: VE Day 80th

The press release from the government as the link above say 23 aircraft ,this includes the BBMF plus the Red Arrows if so what a insult to the WW 11 veteran's after all it's probably the last opportunity to thank them.
I hope the number is a typo

Re: Potential RAF Typhoon Tranche 4 Order - 25 Aircraft

With the POTUS treatment of Ukraine over the last couple of wèeks can the US be trusted to provide the support necessary to operate the F35B .At least with a Typhoon order we would have control of the support of the aircraft, plus it would keep the UK's factory's working for its replacement.

I live 1 mile away from the Vulcan .It does engine runs about 6 times a year with about 5 minutes noise each time. The engines are not run on full takeoff power. I went to a airshow once when 4 took off in a stream take of that was a little bit of noise the ground shook. Or even better 16 lightning d...

Re: 2024 Typhoon Display Jet

The new scheme looks pretty good to me. The second one to show an RAF combat scheme from WW2, so someone in the RAF has a sense of heritage. Someone on PPRUNe suggested that the radome is actually made in that colour, so painting is not possible as it would mess up the radar system. At one time, al...

It's not that bad, honestly. Friday is heavy rain Saturday light showers. Just a coat and waterproofs. Too hot last year might be too wet this year, when are we ever happy. You have an optimistic forecast. We've just had a warning out from base met covering Friday & Saturday. It's not so much the r...
