Hi All
I have put quite a few 80s/90s patches on Ebay. Some are quite rare.

Re: Tanker question
May I offer some insight. With a wing mounted pod or fuselage mounted refuelling unit, the drogue at the the end of the hose fully retracts in to the structure. The dangly drogue occasionally seen on a KC-135 boom is known as a Boom Drogue Adapter, BDA. This allows non-MPRS (pod) 135’s to refuel pro...

Port de Polensa and Alcudia
Noted this week flying water bombing training in the Port de Polensa and Port de Alcudia bays were CL-215Ts 43-21 and 43-24. They were accompanied by an unidentified SAR Puma. Great to watch, but phone pics don’t do them justice.

Hendon Chipmunk, that dark green does look to be the colour from memory. It was definitely Sep 89 and the aircraft was completely unmarked. I can only guess it was likely to be a USMC A-4 from the info you have uncovered.

Re: St Augustine, FL, Green A-4, 1989
Sadly, the photo in question is no longer around, so I can't add it. Thanks to Hendon Chipmunk for the Skyhawk site link, very useful. In terms of the colour scheme of the one that I saw. It was overall olive green with no markings at all. Closer to a New Zealand scheme than Malaysia. It may have be...

Thanks, I'll dig out a photo and try and upload it to see if that helps.

St Augustine, FL, Green A-4, 1989
Hi
Back in September 1989, I remember seeing an all green A-4 with no discernible markings at the Northrop Grumman facility in St Augustine, FL. Despite lots of research, I'm still none the wiser. A very long shot, but can anyone provide any further info please?
TIA

Hi
Hi Everyone Newbie to the forum. I've in around military aviation for pretty much my whole life, which is a while now, being the wring side of 50! I have a general interest in keeping up to date with what's going on in globally and flying around locally. A special interest in air-to-air refuel...
