Europa League Final
Surprised there's no mention of it already, but congratulations to Tottenham, who managed to stop being 'all Spursy' for 90+ minutes and actually win a trophy! A dire game to watch through from a neutral perspective, and this really did seem like a Final being played by two teams who are 16th and 17...

Re: F1 2025
Having said the above, both Ferrari drivers worked their socks off to get a creditable result. Fair play, they did well to get where they did although Charlie boy was a little upset with how things panned out. Uncle max did his usual 'dive bomb', tgat he keeps getting away with it. I thought it was...

Re: FA Cup 2025
That deliberate handball by Henderson though, and VAR somehow didn't take any action!
Imagine the furore if that had been the other way and had denied Palace the chance of scoring.

Re: Turkish F4 Phantom lucky escape
looks like a planned manoeuvre to me. There’s a substantial dip over the horizon which makes it look far lower than possibly was and he doesn’t appear to power up as if he took evasive action. Planned? What airshow director is going to allow a display that gets so low that it almost disappears from...

Turkish F4 Phantom lucky escape
I think he saw that old video of the Typhoon nearly decking it at RIAT and thought 'looks fun, hold my beer'.

It's alleged that it's less 'legged it' and more 'leg over it', and with a subordinate no less.

Re: Spitfire Down
Both occupants ok and it looks like a pretty 'decent' landing in the circumstances. This made me laugh though. We have spoken to the pilot who has advised that a precautionary landing was made at a non-airfield site. Source: https://www.kentonline.co.uk/folkestone/news/spitfire-crash-lands-in-crop-f...

Re: Labour and Tories being smashed in Local Elections
An election now , with the Conservatives in such a mess under their new leader , Lib Dems in the usual middle and Reform just a protest party centered around Britain's version of Trump with their 5 MPs would almost certainly give Labour another huge (if not bigger) majority win as Reform would just...

Re: West Yorkshire Police Hiring - lost the plot!?
Tim Davies was talking about it a couple of weeks ago. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GjtkoHaIz-o They did it in the RAF too thanks to the morons in the MoD, and that also massively backfired, so much so that they had to ask the rejected white males to reapply. Unbelievable that vital services like...

Re: Labour and Tories being smashed in Local Elections
I've no doubt that for many voting Reform is a protest vote, but the LabCon need to wake up or else it might turn into reality one day.
It wouldn't surprise me if Starmer didn't just double down and call them all 'Far-Right' though, as he seems to just hate British people.

Labour and Tories being smashed in Local Elections
Conservatives with huge losses, as have Labour so far.
Massive gains for Reform UK, and even the Lib Dems are doing well.
People unhappy with years of failure by the Tories, and after it took just months for Labour to show their true colours, the people are putting the boot in.

Re: US navy F18 lost at sea
Alas the F-35B loss was deemed to have been down to too few maintenance folks from the squadrons deployed on the ship. Who were clearly under staffed and over worked.... Sort of sums up the Forces now I remember the amount of stick that VttS got (especially from ex servicemen on places like Pprune)...

Re: US navy F18 lost at sea
Deary me ! Poor SOPs … Secretary Hegseth will be prompting Herr Musk from DOGE to email all Tuman sailors asking them what they do all day. How very very embarrassing and avoidable with someone shouting … BRACE BRACE BRACE ? Not good, but still not as embarrassing (or expensive) as having an F35B g...
