Re: Time to retire Lightroom 5?
There are usually the Amazon deals once or twice a year to get a reduced annual subscription. I have to say I don't regret switching especially with the denoise and AI remove tools

Re: Canon fit lens for static displays?
I would suggest looking at your existing images and checking your most commonly used focal length - in Lightroom this is a relatively straightforward task. From this you should be able to tell what new lens suits your needs best.

Monitor Size 27" vs 32"
As per the title I am looking to upgrade my 23" monitor and the question I have is do I go 4k 32" or 27", or alternatively get a 2560x1440 27" ? I don't do video but will be upgrading my camera body later this year to either a Canon R5 or R6
Any input appreciated please

Re: Digitising slides, any ideas?
I was also going to suggest sending them off for scanning. It depends how much your time is worth to you. If it takes you 1 minute on average to capture that's about 2 solid days sitting in front of a computer per 1000 slides. Even if you just did 1 hour a day that's over 2 weeks worth, plus will yo...

Re: Like Button.
A bit late to this thread. How about if people added c&c to the title for comment and critique requested. The problem with a like button IMO is you are never quite certain if the "liker" is applauding the subject matter or your image or both. With regard to the poster stating any image that has been...

I don't think the Billingham rucksack will accommodate all the kit and for carrying the sort of weight specified I definitely would want a waist belt on the bagroughcutter wrote:Push the boat out 'an grab yerself a "Billingham", a bag for life.

Re: Best upgrade for a £1000?
I think the best thing to do is to ask what your current camera doesn't do that you would like to be able to to help inform your choice. Is there any reason for your change from Nikon to Canon ? As I'm sure there will be something in the Nikon body range that would suit. I'm a Canon user BTW so my k...

Re: Need a New Bag - Thoughts on these 2
Hi, I've outgrown my current bag with the addition of the 70-200 lens & soon to be addition of the 7d Mk2 (Or maybe Full Frame) Looking at bag options I'm drawn to these 2 Lowepro Pro Runner BP 450 AW II - On Amazon here for £159 - https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B00W8T2DPQ/ref=wl_it_dp_o_pd_nS_ttl?_en...

Re: Lowepro Nature Trekker Wanted
Not a problem. From my research at the time I acquired it I believe it was the next step up from the mini trekker so an incremental increase. Happy to provide more detailed measurements if needed I guess it depends what you need to get in ! If you haven't seen it already have you looked at the Camba...

For Sale Lowepro Nature Trekker AW - Price Reduction
As I've got a new bag it's time to let my Lowepro Nature Trekker go. The bag show signs of very light use and has been used for storing all my gear together in the house in recent years. I would describe the conditon as Ex + This is the original version of the Nature Trekker and is a very solid bag ...

Re: Canon EOS 80D vs 7D Mark II
I actually sold my 1DX and got a 7Dmk2, the first one had focus problems so it went back and I got a replacement. I was never happy with the sharpness of the replacement though and when the 80D came out I got that but me being me I still yearned for the speed of the 1DX so I sold the 80D and got a ...

Re: Canon EOS 80D vs 7D Mark II
Both are very capable pieces of equipment. I've tried both, but ended up with neither! I did buy the wife an 80D (and she loves it), I however opted for the 5D3 for different needs. Have you actually tried either in the shop and see/feel the comparisons? Can't say you'd be disappointed with either ...
