Re: Ex Cobra Warrior parking restrictions

i think when the base sees how many people turn up for this, they will have to organise something akin to the Park and View for arrivals/departures if they hold another excercise at Waddo Why and who pays for such a facility? The RAF has a job to do, and its not supplying a facility that gets used ...

Re: Ex Cobra Warrior parking restrictions

I realise this may not be how everyone sees it but I don't think Lee should be getting the amount of flak for airing his opinion. Thanks for your support, i think when the base sees how many people turn up for this, they will have to organise something akin to the Park and View for arrivals/departu...

Re: Ex Cobra Warrior parking restrictions

Ive already stated ive no axe to grind with John or the WAVE, infact after learning the tariff came from the base it was with them i had the issue and why i asked Lincolnshire Live to get involved, that carpark was given to spotters to enjoy the hobby for free (like all viewing areas up and down the...

Re: Ex Cobra Warrior parking restrictions

The wave was stood up by John and when the lack of visiting aircraft and exercises stopped at waddo, I can imagine that hitting him and the team pretty hard. They didn't have to continue, but they did. most of you pay £1 pp at Johns field, mildenhall and don't say a thing. I'd be happy to pay a fiv...

Re: Ex Cobra Warrior parking restrictions

Johns saying the base suggested it the base are denying this claim, i dont know anyone on base to ask so i ask my friend in the local press who has contacts on base to clarify
No axe to grind just clarification on who first suggested lets charge the spotters £5 per person per day!!

Re: Ex Cobra Warrior parking restrictions

I've got a reporter asking the base who was the person that suggested a £5 per person per day tariff Sounds like your trying to get some bad press for a location that helps out spotters, who's side are you even on?!? That location was made for spotters to park safe and free whilst enjoying the hobb...

Re: Ex Cobra Warrior parking restrictions

I can assure you Lee, that The WAVE does not get a penny from gate receipts. RAF personnel will be on the gates and marshalling traffic. All monies raised on the gate will go towards paying for the costs of extra toilets and what's left goes to the RAF Benevolent Fund. Everything in the information...

Re: Ex Cobra Warrior parking restrictions

Why does it matter? There's an exercise team on base, and a few of them are members of the wave group on Facebook its come from them. It matters because the carpark was opened so spotters have somewhere safe to park for free whilst spotting, not fot the owners of the burger van to milk us when it s...
