Middle Wallop: 15 x AH-64E Wattisham: 32 x AH-64E Thanks you that's awesome and are all the Wildcats at Wattisham? what else is at MW? The Historic Army Aircraft flight with various fixed wing and helicopters are also at Middle Wallop, along with the Army Flying Grading unit operating the Grob Tutor.

Re: Closure of Odiham, Benson and Wallop and turning Boscombe into a heli base- my proposal

Surely Yeovilton and Culdrose must also be in the mix. I can see one base from each of the services potentially closing. Six flying bases for an ever dwindling rotary fleet is to excessive with current financial pressures. It might also be time to consolidate all helicopters to a single force, eg t...

FB 'story' claiming the Mirages are still coming. No mention of the Rafales(not checked the website mind).
The three Mirages have just landed at Waddington from where they will be operating from all weekend.

Re: Nellis AFB Red Flag 24-1

Since the Typhoon fleet is generally devoid of any Sqn markings, have these been added for going out there? Quite possibly. Ten aircraft were marked up in 3 sqn marks from last November onwards. They do seem to be on the increase again as 29, 41 and 11 sqn all have some jets marked up at the moment...

Thanks to all for the comments - it was a very compact show and tied with a visit around the museum made for a great day out. I'll post the museum shots separately. Great set. I seem to recall a two seater Dutch F16 on static display that year, and flying the previous year. Scramble show database d...

New arrivals confirmed as J-5017 and J-5236. No idea on the two that have departed, but J-5011 (the tiger special) is still here.

2 additional F-18s arrived this morning looking at posts on social media, no serials reported.
Swiss fans said J-5017 was due, the one with the Falcon on the tail.
J-5017 certainly appears to be one of them.

Ummm! Comments regarding UK. bases aren't really relevant as we're not in Europe. If we allow some latitude on geographical boundaries...They should nab Wethersfield from the Albanian Reserve Army, then the 'Locals' really will have a proper reason to whine! :D Utterly brilliant sir👏👏👏👏👏👏...

Does that mean that there have only ever been 4 Austrian Typhoons to ever visit the UK? 2 at Leuchars in 2013 & 2 at RIAT Fairford last year.
I believe that is correct - 7L-WE & 7L-WD were the two that came to Leuchars, so it's only three that have been to the UK!

The RAF's 75th Flypast was cancelled in 1993 but I can't recall if anything got off the ground. Anyone remember? Absolutely bucketed down.
The C130s were airborne, not sure if anything else was.
