While on a family holiday to the south west I was fortunate to catch this rare beast working on the beach. 1. https://live.staticflickr.com/65535/54571042609_32030a878b_b.jpg EH101 ASH | MM81493 | GRUPELICOT 1 | LFA2 by Joe Lewis , on Flickr 2. https://live.staticflickr.com/65535/54569996492_85b34ea...

Re: French Helicopters
Given it was reported as 810 and that ties up what was seen on vr sites I'm not sure what the problem is?

Don't think it'll get much better than this for the rest of the month so I'll submit it while I remember. Italian Navy Merlin on the beach in North Devon - 05/06/25 https://live.staticflickr.com/65535/54571042609_32030a878b_b.jpg EH101 ASH | MM81493 | GRUPELICOT 1 | LFA2 by Joe Lewis , on Flickr

They’re working in Zones 1 and 2, sandy lane leads into Zone 2 so would be a good place to park, bit of a walk in but nothing hard. Small cafe/posh burger van there when I was last down (June 2023)

With wall to wall blue skies across the county for most of this week I got out with the cam at both Waddington and Coningsby. Nice to see a fair amount of marked jets at Coningsby :thumb: 1. https://live.staticflickr.com/65535/54437925205_6b490e370c_b.jpg P-8A | ZP809 | 201 Sqn | EGXW by Joe Lewis ,...

Re: SHF530 18/9/24 tie up please
The wildcats using CAFEABs are Navy HMA2s, never AH1s. Another interesting note is there are at least 2-3 RAF chinooks that point blank don’t track, going back to the wildcats I have noticed 1 or 2 not tracking at high level as well

Re: UK to scrap some warships, helicopters and drones
Wouldn’t say the oldest 14 chinooks are dead wood, 674 is fresh out of fleetlands which is odd if it’s gonna be axed in March. The oldest cabs seem to be flying as much as the new cabs, unsure which ones will actually go Its not all the oldest cabs that are going, some of them have already been ret...

Re: Brize or Benson tomorrow?
As someone who has spent far too many hours at Benson over the years I’d say Brize. 28 Sqn are due to Valley at somepoint this week so you may get 3 Chinokks leave if lucky, Pumas are few and far between maybe 2 sorties a day. Tutors and the flying club will always be around. May get an odiham chino...
