Re: Airfix 1/24 Hawker Typhoon

Hi Nick,

That's a stunning job. Absolutely fantastic!

Haven't made a kit for a few years, but will be returning to the hobby some time soon.

Regards,

Tom

Afternoon all,

Looking for the above, NOT the 1:72 version that is widely available at present.

If anyone knows of one lying around, please let me know!

Cheers,

Re: Bases flying?

No F15s overhead so far, yesterday or today. Two low C130s last evening. Lakenheath are not flying hence no F-15s. Very quiet at home in Brandon. Understandable of course but unusually so. All rather surreal at the moment. Just heard an RAF C-17 go over heading to Mildenhall but missed it! Some rea...

Lakenheath just said all flying suspended until Thursday.

6.20 in, they confirm that there are no plans to cancel the flying activities. Only a reduction due to moving people around.

Well, the message obviously hasn't reached the 352nd if that's correct.

Re: Mildenhall March 2020

Offering some Constructive Criticism here, but use Manual Mode for your exposure settings. Go to 1/100th for full disc blur if you can, slightly higher if you can't manage it yet. Reason I say it is the props look too static for my liking, and more blur would be better for the image's aesthetics. Ho...

Re: Is there going to be a press day?

All Does anyone know if there is a press day for this deployment as i think there usually is? Reason for asking is that don't they normally not fly on press days? I don't want to take a trip down for nothing. Glyn We are on the press list and will post if there is one, but given COVID-19 at present...

Re: Royal International Air Tattoo 2020 Discussion Thread

I think its pretty much nailed on that RIAT will be cancelled given what's happening in other countries regarding large gathering etc. Personally i cannot envisage a situation where Germany Spain Italy etc send aircrews to the show. Even thought 90% is open air there are various choke point re queu...

Departed Aldergroce today on EZY138 to Manchester, slotted these and wondered why they were there.

Did not expect to see them, so very surprised!

If you're in the area it's worth popping over anyway, all four if not flying are easily visible from either Dunfield or Marston Meysey. Re: October B52 deployment

Any ideas on if they are weekend flying this time? Last deployment didn’t, but is it just a case of wait for the NOTAM?

Only reason I ask is because I’m in the area tomorrow and wondered if it was worth popping over.

Cheers,

Re: RIAT Arrivals 2019 - Live Thread

Very nice images posted, and I'm all for the watermark as it is. Too many images are ripped off now, so I like seeing people protecting their work. If I see an image that I'd like to use (perhaps as a desktop background), I could always contact the photographer and ask. Thank you for the kind words...

That’s all from us this year on the Live Arrivals feed, meeting up with some friends in Totterdown tomorrow and won’t be able to provide a live thread for arrivals. It’s been a pleasure to provide it for those unable to attend or going later in the week, and we really do appreciate the feedback. Let...
