Re: A view from inside RAF Valley 12/9
Fantastic set. One place i need to get back to sometime! The number cruncher in me has to ask, is XV709 to join the RAF SAR fleet? Seems to be in rather fantastic condition to be in use as a ground trainer!! Arabest, Geoff. Definately looks as if it's in the process of being converted to SAR fit as...

Re: BBC: Two RAF Aircraft Crash in Moray Firth

In this type of situation Nimrod was a great command, control and co-ordination platform but given the reported conditions in...

Re: Wet is not the word! Saturday RIAT 2011
When you look through the photos of events that lots of people go to things tend to get repetitive and they all look the same but I can honestly say when I saw No13 of the XV Tonka I went WOW.
That is one helluva photo!!

Gutted.
There was no need for this so early on, no thought for the community who were proud of the Nimrod Fleet and the men and women of RAF Kinloss.

They flew over my garden near Montrose about 1515hrs scared the life out of me as they popped up!! They were really low and fast following the coast road. Landed on at Leuchars later on. Great catch with the photos by the way!!

Thanks for all the low level buzzes of my house and all the fantastic fly by's out in the bay, sad to see the F3 go, going before her time. Wishing you all the very best for the future whichever part of the RAF you all end up on. Thanks again!!

Re: The Last F3 paint..(at last)
Thanks Neil and everyone who contributed to such a fantastic design and a stunning aircraft. A fitting tribute to the F3, I hope this airframe escapes the RTP and makes it to a museum in one piece. Thanks once again for documenting the process so well!!
