Re: RAF changed Dog grave wording

No Kyle of course I don’t walk into a fundraiser for a breast cancer charity and say that. But then they are not suggesting that just breast cancer sufferers matter and not mounting mass protests in support of their cause or creating vast disruption and damage as the Black Lives Matter people have. ...

Re: RAF changed Dog grave wording

Oh dear, what a tangled web this has become. Personally I am very saddened by the way in which the black lives matter campaign has resulted in a knee jerk reaction by so many. I have always treated people, irrespective of colour, as I find them. There are good and bad in all of us. I have said from ...

Re: Eldorado Canyon - 14th April 1986

Yes, nice tribute. It may interest you to know that the F111 in RAFmuseum Cosford is one of the aircraft that took part in this operation. The ground crew left a little reminder of this in the front undercarriage compartment, a little painted image of bombs going into a swimming pool together with t...

Re: RAF Tilstock, Shropshire

Thank you Ratrace, yes, I have that book. There were indeed numerous airfields in the area but generally not covered in as much detail as those in other parts of the country.
I do have a basic map of the airfield from WW11 era but obtaining more detail has proved to be difficult.

RAF Tilstock, Shropshire

I have an interest in this airfield and live right next to it. Now used for a skydiving school on a few days per week.
It was used during WW11 as bomber crew training and also glider pilot training.
Does anyone out there have any photos of the airfield when it was in operation ?

Steve
