Shame there’s no one to fly or maintain them, then you need somewhere to base them.
We’ve covered this a few times. Leuchars and Leeming will sort that issue just fine. The Italian Airforce are currently utilising the fully functioning HAS and facilities in the former right now.

Re: US pausing Military aid to Ukraine

Even as it stands a combined European army, without the USA, would wipe out the Russians in a few weeks, especially in the much weakened state they are now, having to get hold of prisoners and N. Korean troops to fight for them. Of course Putin would hit the nuclear button then so a direct conflict...

There’s an A600 (MM62228) orbiting over north western Italy at the moment, between Torino and Monaco. Could be for the Typhoons. Grosseto is on the west coast of Italy.

“Why should I go to that cemetery? It’s filled with losers.”
“I like people who weren’t captured.”

Trump loves veterans.

He displays one of the common traits of all narcissists and megalomaniacs, namely a very high degree of emotional detachment from mere mortals
He also carries a lot of the traits seen in the Hare Psychopathy Checklist. I'm sure I read somewhere that he scored 90%.

Re: US pausing Military aid to Ukraine

I note that Trump’s botox injected pet chihuahua is getting flak for stating that the UK is ‘a random country that hasn’t fought in a war for 30 or 40 years’.

That kind of says it all really.

Re: US pausing Military aid to Ukraine

Looks like Ukraine has a six month munitions stock pile that's already in their own country, which allows for some much needed wiggle room. So all this 'the sky's falling in' flapping looks to be a bit premature.

Billions have already gone into funding your war.
The majority of those billions have been paid to US defence companies who are now going to lose profits. They're not going to be happy with Trump.

Re: trump

The outfit Churchill wore the most during WWII was his trademark, self-designed ‘siren-suit’. He wore it in Royal company on many occasions and when meeting fellow Allied leaders. So why should a current wartime leader have to wear a suit? King Charles is a HUGE admirer of Zelensky. He won’t care wh...

Re: Defence Spending

There are several factors that need to be taken into account when planning our future EU NATO defence, and I'm sure the Western powers that be are very well aware of this. The Russian economy is a time bomb now - this is a fact. It's why Putin is very keen on stopping the war ASAP. If it continues f...

These guys were actually returning from nearly two weeks spent at Leuchars, where they'd been part of Exercise Kukri Dawn (hence the call sign).

I reckon after the past few days of utterly ridiculous posturing by the current US government, the Typhoon option is looking much more likely.

With his mad, bullying, and totally illegal scheme, to turn Gaza into a holiday resort Trump has effectively wrecked the already fragile peace process and signed the death warrant for thousands of of Palestinians, scores of Israeli soldiers and the hostages who are still alive. He's also signed his...

Re: RAF to get F35A ?

I’ve sad it before, there’s a base in Fife that’s used on an almost daily basis, with fully functional HAS and access on its doorstep to the North Sea training areas. All it really needs is investment in large volume fuel storage (which is already being looked at) and increased base housing. There’s...
