I can't remember how many either a B-1, B-2 or B-52 carries A fair number I recall....

Anyway back to the current exercise
8 JASSM per RLA (Rotary Launch Assembly.)
A B1 can carry 3 RLA's

Re: Exercise 5-21 May?

Wonder if the Civvy B744 Freighter flight that visited last week had anything to do with it? RN. Yes it was,it delivered ordanance, for the exercise. The Jumbo was collecting, not delivering. (From the locals). Unless they plan on firing a JASSM across the base. These munitions are not for the exerc...

Anybody know how a deployment can take place when Fairford has a current Notam running until early Jan 2025 about critical and reduced firefighting and rescue capabilities for all the aircraft which could be involved?
Was exactly the same during the previous BTFs.

Re: Status of U-2S 80-1099

came across this thread whilst doing some U2 research, as reported elsewhere
''Subsequently decided to rebuild and moved to Lockheed Martin at Palmdale, where rebuild continues (“AirForces Monthly“, July 2020)''

So I'm assuming this is back in service by now?

I've seen 34 Dragon Ladies at Fairford - which is the total number that have visited. My observations and knowledge of their movements does not completely agree with the information above.
Would be great to collaborate with you on this Luxto! Next time I see you at the fence I will mention it :)

Also, 012 fin band is yellow, other two are white. Do they actually operate separate squadrons within the wing? At certain angles and in certain ligh...
