Re: RAF Sculthorpe May 8th 1976.
Fabulous, just fabulous... I'd just passed my driving test and this was one of my first solo expeditions... (only from Norwich!)
Sculthorpe certainly had its moments.
These are such good images.
I have no photos so these are provoking splendid memories.
Thanks so much.

Re: 616 Squadron.
All rather talented and resourceful ground chaps on 616 Sqn, including my father...
Apparently it took a lot of 'nous' to keep the jets serviceable.

Re: Aviation Books to read
I'm about half way through f-4 Phantom: A pilot's story, and it is very good so thanks forum. I wonder though is there a memoir from a Vietnam Phantom pilot that anyone can recommend? These two are both pretty good: The Phantom Vietnam War: An F-4 Pilot's Combat over Laos (David R. 'Buff' Honodel) ...

It's not 'kick the tyres, light the fires... a bit of dogfighting... home for tea and medals'; however it is thorough, detailed and full of accounts and explanation o...

Although it's a superb aeroplane but I have many earlier loves... Dear All (or anybody who has persisted this far...) and got past the useless title... Oh dear me I've scanned a few more that I've found... ... and I was told in the seventies that I'd missed the 'best times' in aviation... :'( :'( I ...
